Ariana was indeed not taken by surprise upon hearing Mrs Harlow's words. In fact, she was more or less certain that her mother would reach out to her now that the truth regarding the kidnapping was out in front of Noah.

Surprisingly, her mother had not come looking for her in the hospital when Ariana was certain that Mrs Harlow would certainly come to the hospital. 

She would rather not waste any time with her mother because Ariana knew that her mother would only drag the conversation while telling her how she had ruined the lives of their family. 

"Is that why you called me? You made quite a point, Mom," Ariana said in a calm voice. 

"You are really out for our lives, aren't you?" Mrs Harlow growled from the other side and hearing the slurring words, Ariana knew that her mother had been drinking. "Why did you tell Noah about that incident, you wretched, ungrateful bastard? You dirty low life, could you not have kept this little thing to yourself?"
