Carrying the blame (2)

The sound of a crisp slap echoed in the Nelson mansion. Everyone turned to look at Noah and Glynn. 

Noah's hand was still raised in the air while Glynn's head had turned to one side. Her eyes were wide in shock as Glynn raised her hand and touched her cheek, which had been slapped by her brother. 

This was the second time her brother had slapped her, and yet, it stung just as harshly as the first time.

Glynn blinked her eyes slowly, raised her head and turned her face around so that she could look at Noah. 

"Why?" She asked in a soft voice before anger surged in her heart and she questioned Noah, "Why did you slap me? What did I ever do to you?" 

"What did you do?" Noah repeated in a deadly cold voice. He slightly shook his head and questioned, "You do not know what you did?" 

'Did he find out about the hoodlums that I hired?' Glynn thought as her heart skipped a few beats.
