The spark was valuable. More valuable than Aru initially imagined it to be.

From what he understood, only rank 7 and above creatures could leave behind sparks. Rank 7 were legendary individuals in history. Rank 8 was the domain of mythical creatures like phoenixes and dragons. And finally, rank 9 was reserved for powerful divine creatures. 

A spark is usually formed when a high-ranked being gains enlightenment or when they perish. 

It was like a gift they left behind to those who wished to follow in their footsteps.

Those lucky enough to find a spark would gain mysterious knowledge and strength. 

Most of the present clans have been created by these individuals who gained the spark.
