The Realization

Yang Tianyi never got such a wake up call as now. After today, he was at least clear of one simple thing: he had started to fall in love with his mission target.

He let out a deep sigh.

How did he not see this coming? He managed to keep his distance from the man throughout the time, and he did manage to become successful in that. His emotions never appeared during the moments he spent watching TV series. 

He thought his emotions were in check and that small fling had gone away with the passage of time. It had already been a week ever since he last saw Chen Ming's beautiful face, you know?

So now that something like this happened, now that someone tried to assassinate the Empress, why did he feel like someone had stabbed right on his back multiple times?

He almost felt like a part of him was dying even after he had spent an entire week away from the mission target just to save himself from falling hard. But in the end, he failed miserably.
