Chapter 66

Steward's body went backward, the gun slipping from his grasp as he fell to the ground with a thud. Javier's eyes widened in shock as he looked at the doorway where Raymone stood, his own gun still raised, wisps of smoke curling from the barrel.  

"What do you think of my aim?" Raymone says as he lowers the gun down.  

Javier uses his free hand to give him a thumbs up as Alisa holds him tightly around the neck. 

Raymone walked towards the doorway as his footsteps carried mud through the room. Javier smiled as Raymone came towards him. 

Raymone, Dennis, and Javier were a trio and have always been friends. Javier was at least happy that Raymone came, and wondered how he knew that he was here. 

"My guy," Raymone says, as he playfully hits Javier on his shoulder. "How are you doing?" 

"Doing great as usual," 

Raymone's gaze shifted from Javier to Alisa, his eyes lingering on her for a moment before turning back to Javier. "Your daughter?"
