"I apologize, Your Highness," Odin murmured, lowering his eyes in respect and perhaps a bit of shame.
"There's no need to apologize," Magnus responded gently. "But I am curious—why are you doing this?" His voice was calm, yet his gaze was probing.
"Apparently, there's no reason for it," Odin asserted, his tone firm, though it was clear he was holding something back.
"Venus annoys me," Odin finally admitted, his voice tinged with frustration. "She showed up at an all-vampire bar with the excuse that she wanted to give me milk cakes. There are so many things about her that get under my skin," he revealed, his irritation evident.
"Prince Magnus, it's obvious they're made for each other," Griffin chimed in with a grin. "I've seen firsthand how Odin and Venus bicker—they argue like lovers," he added, his tone teasing.
"Don't call us lovers. There's nothing going on between us," Odin snapped, glaring at Griffin, his voice sharp with denial.
