Magnus placed a pouch full of gold coins in the hands of Phileas Olsen, the physician, who examined Alora last day and even let them stay in his mansion.
"Your Highness, you are making me feel low by doing this. I can't accept this money," Phileas said in his humble tone.
"Why not? It's a reward for you. Keep it," Magnus stated. He glanced at the old lady, who was Phileas's wife. "Please ask you husband to take this small reward from me," he urged.
"Your Highness, I am paid for my work. And it was my privilege to be able to help. Please keep it with you. I cannot take it," Phileas said in his humble tone.
Magnus sighed and felt that the physician was too good for not taking such a reward from him. Even the old lady insisted on him not give them the reward for assisting them.
"A reward bestowed by royalty should not be refused," Izaak's voice fell onto the old couple's ears. They were quick to greet the eldest prince, who halted next to Magnus.
