"You shouldn't have suddenly brought up the incident between Scarlet and me," Alora said while pouring herself a glass of water. She took a moment to collect her thoughts before continuing, "How could you be so thoughtless sometimes?" She brought the glass to her lips, taking a small sip.
Magnus, unfazed, responded in a stern tone, "I merely wanted to tell her that she should know her limits. She can't just say anything she pleases."
Alora placed the glass on the table with a soft clink, her expression firm. "But you can't speak so rudely to your elder brother's wife," she asserted. "Scarlet was upset because Brother Alaric left on their first night. I can't deny that he left because of me," she added, her voice tinged with guilt. "If I had been in her place—"
He didn't let her speak as he placed his index finger on her lips. "You would not have said that. You are not like the others. I know this well," Magnus said and lowered his finger slowly.
