74 - Pressure

"She was…uh…a special one. I'm not too sure where she was from, actually," Alex finally answered.

He had hesitated for a good couple of seconds. Clearly, he was wondering if he would be telling the truth or not.

"Uh! How does that make any sense? Shouldn't she be from Earth?"

Lucian continued being extremely naive and stupid, hoping Alex would slip up at some point. And if it didn't, he would have to confront him at some point.

This time, Alex hesitated even more. He knew he shouldn't have mentioned her.

"Don't worry about it. She's not of this world anymore, so it doesn't matter what happened to her."

Lucian put his right hand on Alex's shoulder. "I see…my condolences."

Alex just nodded without saying anything.

'Well, she isn't of this world anymore. But she isn't dead. Who knows what she's doing now, hahaha.'
