Chapter 7: Charging into Battle

Link did not linger long at the Supreme Council.

Even though a level six sage from Ravensmouth College's Supreme Council Office made it clear that he hoped Link would stay for two more days to boost the academy's prestige.

After careful consideration, Link politely refused on the grounds that his troop had not yet finished its first campaign.

Staying on would certainly have increased both the academy's prestige and his personal reputation quite a bit.

But too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

A reputation that rose too quickly could easily make one the target of jealousy.

It's said that only the mediocre are never envied.

But there's no need to create enemies everywhere, especially the kind of hostility that arises without actual conflicts.

Moreover, the Grande Sage Army had indeed encountered some issues, and Link had to return in a timely manner.

He took a flying vessel from the Central Plains back to the West Coast, back to Ravensmouth City.
