Chapter 369: Coordination of Death Eater Forces

As soon as the battle commenced, Alaric found himself entangled with Voldemort.

Voldemort relentlessly attacked him, forcing him to focus solely on defense and evasion. There was no denying that Voldemort's attack power demanded respect.

The Dark Lord understood clearly that Alaric was the opponent's last trump card, an equal in strength, and frequently capable of inventing peculiar spells that even he struggled to counter.

For example, he still couldn't comprehend how Alaric had managed to rescue Harry Potter right in front of him on the night of his own resurrection.

The "Stand Magic" that Alaric had showcased also took them by surprise, nearly decimating half of the Dementors.

If allowed to operate freely, Voldemort feared that Alaric alone could defeat his entire side.

Now, Alaric posed a threat to Voldemort on par with Dumbledore.

He was grateful that he had tricked Dumbledore away with news of Grindelwald, as facing two equals at the same time would have been daunting.

Voldemort thought it best to lay low for a while longer, waiting until he could eliminate Dumbledore before resurfacing.

Alaric, on the other hand, was in no rush to kill Voldemort.

Due to the Horcruxes, he had to eliminate Voldemort's final Horcrux, Nagini, before he could truly defeat him.

However, Voldemort was keeping Nagini close, making it difficult for Alaric to strike.

Thus, Alaric waited patiently for an opportunity. Without taking the initiative to attack, he seemed to navigate through Voldemort's storm of assaults with ease.

Relying on his powerful magic and agile movements, he dodged and defended, appearing remarkably composed, as if facing not the fearsome Dark Lord, but merely a minor opponent.

While Alaric maintained his composure, the others in the Ministry of Magic were struggling. The giants wreaked havoc on their ranks.

These colossal beings, with their immense magical resistance, easily broke through the wizards' defenses and invaded the Ministry's line, forcing many to divert their attention to combat them. The giants not only boasted strong defenses but also had a massive attack range; one stomp could create a sizable crater, and a swing of a wooden club could take out multiple opponents.

Alaric witnessed a curse-breaker being struck by a giant's club, sending him flying as if he had been hit with a home run in baseball, landing far away in the ocean.

The bloody remains on the club confirmed that the unfortunate wizard had likely died before even hitting the water.

This scene terrified others; no one wanted to be smashed into pulp by a giant.

Many wizards instinctively attacked the giants, not aiming to take them down, but merely to contain their destruction.

However, the Death Eaters had more than just giants. The battle resembled a real battlefield.

The giants acted like ancient heavy cavalry or World War II tanks, creating openings in the front line for other troops to exploit.

The werewolves, being quick and possessing some magical resistance, functioned like light cavalry, or light armored units in WWII, flanking the enemy from the sides and even launching surprise attacks from behind.

With the giants drawing the fire and attention of the wizards, the werewolves could finally showcase their strengths.

In a matter of moments, several wizards were taken down by their assaults.

It wouldn't be long before the wizards' defenses collapsed under continuous flanking and rear attacks.

Meanwhile, the Dementors acted like aerial units, striking the ground wizards with precision.

Although they couldn't blanket an area with bombs, their sheer numbers were significant.

Despite Alaric having eliminated half of them, the remaining Dementors still outnumbered the Aurors. And best of all, they couldn't be killed.

Even if a Patronus drove them away, they could regroup and attack from another angle, while the wizards could not continuously maintain their Patronuses.

If it weren't for the fact that most wizards stationed at Azkaban had been trained to use the Patronus Charm, the Ministry of Magic would have likely collapsed under the threat of Dementors.

Even so, several wizards were killed when their Patronus support arrived too late, leaving their souls vulnerable to the Dementors.

On the other hand, the Death Eaters found the battle much easier now.

Once struggling, they now resembled infantry on the battlefield, merely following their teammates and providing timely support, cleanup, and reinforcement.

It was undeniable that Voldemort had made excellent choices in his allies.

These dark creatures and Death Eaters had formed a powerful, organic synergy that enhanced their combat capabilities.

In contrast, the Ministry of Magic, despite having superior numbers and average skill levels, appeared overwhelmed by the multifaceted assault, quickly falling into disarray.

If it hadn't been for Hermione and a few other girls exhibiting extraordinary combat prowess, actively engaging across the battlefield and providing vital support to the Ministry, it could have faced a significant defeat.

However, soon these girls were targeted by the elite forces of the Death Eaters.
