Arianne originally thought she had seen enough extravagance in Pentos, but when she truly stood before the Dragon God Church of Pentos, she realized that she had underestimated the Dragon God Faith.
Indeed, just from the grand exterior of the Dragon God Church, the unprecedented magnificent architectural style, and the towering spires, she could tell that the Dragon God Faith was truly unlike any other religion in this world.
And as she stepped into the church, she realized that she had indeed entered the realm of gods.
Unlike the secretive nature of any other religion, pretending to be mysterious, the Dragon God Faith directly displayed their divine side in front of mortals.
Arianne followed Melisandre all the way, passing fountains erupting with spring water, entering gates that opened automatically, walking through halls illuminated by hundreds of floating candles, passing corridors adorned with moving portraits, climbing stairs that constantly changed position, and finally walking along an empty corridor to the end.
At the end of the corridor was a huge dragon statue.
Just as Arianne was wondering why Melisandre had brought her to this dead end, the dragon-shaped stone statue actually spoke.
"Password," it said, its voice carrying a sense of stone grinding.
"The password is 'All Hail Dragon God'," Melisandre replied calmly, apparently accustomed to all this.
The dragon statue nodded and then split in half from the middle.
An entrance appeared at the crack in front of them.
"This is where the divine messenger of Dragon God usually stays. Only by speaking the correct password can one enter.
Otherwise, one will be attacked by the stone statue. Believe me, even 'The Mountain' would be powerless against it." Melisandre turned to Arianne and reminded her.
"The Mountain" was the nickname of Ser Gregor Clegane, who was loyal to the Lannister family and was famous for his towering stature and unmatched ferocity.
He was nearly eight feet tall, with broad shoulders and arms as thick as small tree trunks.
He weighed about thirty stones and was muscular all over. His weapon was a greatsword wielded with both hands, but he could use it with just one hand.
In the War of the Five Kings, it was he who, under the command of Tywin Lannister, broke into the royal nursery and smashed the infant son of King Rhaegar against the wall in his swaddling clothes, crushing him to death.
Before the child's blood and brains had even dried, he raped Aegon's mother, Arianne's aunt, Princess Elia Martell.
In other words, he was one of the blood enemies of the Martell family, and Arianne was quite familiar with him.
Melisandre used him as a comparison to emphasize the formidable power of the Dragon God Faith.
From the results, her goal was achieved, and Arianne's gaze showed obvious reverence.
After entering, Arianne found that the room was even larger than she had imagined, and the decoration was quite magnificent, with many furnishings and decorations she had never seen before.
However, Arianne didn't pay attention to all this, because her attention was completely drawn to the man sitting in the center of the room.
With his handsome appearance and mysterious and wise demeanor, she immediately recognized the man before her as the one she would serve in the future—the divine messenger.
At that moment, Arianne realized that her inner fangirl was already roaring madly: "Yes, he's the one I've been looking for."
As the heir of Dorne in the Seven Kingdoms, Arianne had naturally seen many handsome men and beautiful women.
However, at this moment, she realized that her uncle's description of the divine messenger in his letter was not exaggerated.
No, the man before her, in both appearance and demeanor, surpassed the description given by Oberyn.
She was somewhat glad that she had made the right choice in front of her father.
After a while, Arianne finally snapped out of her trance.
It was only then that she noticed that there was another girl beside the man.
The girl had a petite figure like hers, but much younger. She had a head of silver-gold hair, violet eyes, and a golden-red one-handed sword burning with golden flames hanging from her waist.
Arianne immediately recognized the identity of the woman before her.
She was the current ruler of Pentos, the destined king, the reincarnation of Azor Ahai, Daenerys Targaryen.
And astonishingly, there were three small creatures, one red, one green, and one gold, with scales all over their bodies and double wings on their backs, surrounding this woman.
Taking a closer look, Arianne understood that these were the three dragons hatched from fossilized dragon eggs, as the legend said.
Disappeared for a hundred years, only existing in legends, the dragons appeared before her.
From the looks of the man and the woman, it seemed as if they were arguing about something, while the three little dragons were either lying on Daenerys's back or hiding at her feet, peeking at the man with trembling expressions.
Approaching closer, Arianne heard Daenerys's reproachful voice.
"You're too harsh on them," she scolded the man somewhat reproachfully, "they're just newborns."
"I know they're just children," the man shook his head, "but they're also dragons. With the scales on their bodies, even if I just hit them like this, they won't feel pain..."
"So what? Just because they're dragons, you think you can be cruel to them?
How can you treat my little babies like this? Really, you're just harming them."
At this moment, the petite Daenerys seemed like a protective mother dragon.
"Little babies..." the man helplessly rubbed his forehead.
"The babies you're talking about, in the future, they'll grow taller than the towers of Pentos, they would eat a dozen cows in one meal, and just by opening their mouths would completely crush an army."
"Yes, yes. My daughters will definitely be amazing when they grow up," Daenerys said proudly, then her tone changed.
"But so what? As long as I'm here, no one can bully them, not even you, their father."
"F...Father," the man was somewhat stunned.
"Yes!" Daenerys said as if it were obvious.
"Your flames hatched them, gave them new life. And now, you're the only one who can be considered their kin. Besides... you and me..."
Daenerys' voice lowered here, so Arianne couldn't hear it completely, but still she could guess what was going on, and couldn't help but smirk.
"In short, who else could be their father if not you? Right Talonixa, Alexstrasza, and Ysera."
The golden, red, and green dragons popped their heads out when they heard their mother calling their names, nodding obediently.
"Okay, okay, whatever you say?" The man's tone was somewhat resigned, but what made Arianne jealous was the hint of fondness in his voice.
Sure enough, their relationship was abnormal. Arianne's suspicion deepened.
But when she noticed Melisandre beside her, looking as if this was all normal, even with a hint of happiness on her face, she found it hard to believe.
Could it be that even Melisandre, the Pope...
Immediately, she looked at Melisandre with a hint of hostility in her eyes.

[A.N: The three dragons in this fic are female and their names have been derived from World of Warcraft Dragon's. It's done cause in this story Alaric had huge role in birth of these dragons, also in this world Daenerys is quite different as she has formed no deep relation with Drogo and has changed a lot since meeting Alaric, so it didn't make sense to name dragons after Drogo and Daenerys brothers. So, making the dragon's female and changing their name made sense according to this story. Hope you all understand.]
