Chapter 7

Senjumaru Shutara. A powerful figure from an anime called Bleach. So powerful in fact that her mere presence alone should've been enough to wipe out every existence in this world.

That should've been the case, but it seems that her situation in the current world is different. Or was made different...

Here, she's nothing like her original counterpart.

According to the people who had taken care of her, when she was still a baby, her parents left her in front of the church, blah blah blah, and years later, a certain uncle came and took her from the orphanage.

That man is a member of the Gojo clan so her destination is pretty obvious. Here, she was taught personally by the head maid, and after a couple of years of training, she is now here in front of Hiroyuki, serving as his maid.

Upon hearing her explain how her entire life had been so far before she met him, Hiroyuki can only say one thing.

"It's so damn cliche."

So cliche in fact that he can't help but think that whoever sent her here didn't even put an effort into giving her a pretty interesting background. To say that this is a situation forced to happen by some random power is not that far-fetched really.

It's pretty bizarre to think that the Gojo Clan, the most uptight clan amongst the big 3, will just go around and adopt some random kid without making any fuss about it at all. 

Or at least, that's what Hiroyuki thought about this entire scenario.

Now going on to the next weird thing about her. It's about the knowledge she possesses. 

First of all, she's aware of Hiroyuki's past life. Well, she doesn't know the exact details of it, or what happened there, but she knows for sure that this isn't his first life. Which is a fact that greatly surprised Hiroyuki. 

Second, when asked how much she knows about the world so far, she suddenly started spouting a series of words that even Hiroyuki had a hard time understanding.

A walking Curse Encyclopedia, that's how he likes to describe her.

Obviously, Hiroyuki didn't let it pass and immediately asked her how she knew all this stuff. Thankfully, she didn't try to be secretive about it or something like that. None of that, 'you would know at the right time' bs.

However, the thing is... she's not secretive because there's nothing to hide in the first place. She also doesn't know why she knows such stuff. 

A pretty bland reason and sounds like nothing but an excuse. Most people would've never believed her for it.

But Hiroyuki believed her. 

Living a life where you are surrounded by people who can easily stab you in the back whenever you show any sign of weakness, Hiroyuki naturally developed good skills for reading people.

Due to that, based on her expressions, heartbeat, body movements, and eyes, he can see that Senjumaru genuinely has no clue and is even confused about how she even knows such stuff.

She just does, that's pretty much it.

So that's why Hiroyuki was left with no choice but to believe she simply existed in this world and possessed otherworldly knowledge. 

And as much as he wanted to find out what was happening and the reason for her appearance, he sadly didn't have any capability to do that. No matter how much he pursues the answers, he is always hit by a wall he can never climb on.

At the very end, Hiroyuki concluded that he had no choice but to just let it be. He already learned a long time ago that there's no merit to finding things that don't want to be found.

In any case, it's not like he wanted to push her away in the first place. Regardless of his opinion, Senjumaru is undeniably, extremely helpful to him.

What Hiroyuki needed now was information. That's the thing he lacked the most, and probably the main reason why he cannot fully focus on developing his strength.

But after spending a couple of days with Senjumaru, and making sure that she can satisfy his curiosity about everything, he finally made the decision.

That the boring part is over.

Now, the training arc can finally begin.

Hiroyuki was currently sleeping soundly in his room when suddenly, without any notice.

*Thud*

"... huh?"

Someone suddenly entered the room, causing him to wake up. 

Well, Hiroyuki is always on alert and aware of his surroundings. Usually, especially in his room, he is pretty laid back. But the fact that someone entered his room without any heads up is already enough for him to instinctively tense up.

"Oh, it's you."

Upon getting up, looking towards the door to see who just entered without his permission, there he found his maid, Senjumaru, walking in casually.

"Yes, Hiroyuki sama." She said as she gently put down a plate of breakfast on the nearby table.

"I'm sorry for waking you up suddenly."

"Oh, It's nothing. I was just about to wake up anyway." Ruffling his messy hair, Hiroyuki said as he relaxed his body and went towards the table where the food was served.

It's been almost a year now since Senjumaru's arrival and for some reason, Hiroyuki just couldn't get used to some of her habits like what just happened now. 

Unlike any of the maids in the house, she just refused to act like one of them and be as nonstandard as ever. Well, that doesn't make her bad compared to them or anything, in fact, in some aspects Hiroyuki prefers her more.

But it's just that, to put it in simple terms, It's like casting a Hollywood star as a background character in a film. She simply doesn't fit the role at all. She stands out too much.

Plus, it's a wasted potential as well.

It's probably due to her original status which unbefits her current one. Which holds her back by a large margin. The very reason why Hiroyuki ultimately decided to allow her to take it a bit easy and to be herself a bit more.

Assuming they were going to stay together for a long time, Hiroyuki wanted a companion or if possible, a friend that he could trust his back to given any kind of situation. Not a servant that acts like she has no will of her own or something like that.

In any case, even though Hiroyuki allowed it, at first, she obviously hesitated, thinking that it might be offensive or something. But after a couple of pushes, she finally, slowly, started to show her true self.

That's why now, although she's only like this when they're alone together, she's finally closer to the Senjumaru that Hiroyuki recognizes. 

However, he cannot deny that she showed it all a little bit too fast and he was caught off guard for a little bit. That's why up until now, he has yet to adapt to her little antics.

Well, it's just a matter of time anyway so he did not mind it all.

"Hmm? Is there something going on?" Hiroyuki asked as he noticed a couple of people rushing past his door.

"I wasn't told what it is exactly but, it's probably about the Madame." Senjumaru said as she fixed the bed that Hiroyuki had just gotten up to.

"My mother? Did something happen mid-labor?" Hiroyuki muttered, looking a little bit confused. 

Well, his supposed mother in this world, who had been pregnant for almost the entire year, had just gone into labor last night. 

Even though the operation would be done in their home and not in some Hospital, Hiroyuki wasn't worried or anything because he knew that there were some capable people here in the clan who could most likely handle such things better than some doctors out there.

However given the reaction of the people around him, it seems that something actually happened.

Whether it's a good happening or not, well, that's the thing, he doesn't know. And he probably won't know unless he goes there on the scene personally.

But as much as he wanted to go now, he couldn't because it would be rude to leave his breakfast unfinished.

Thus Hiroyuki made haste, speeding up his eating pace as quickly as possible. That's why not even a minute later...

*clank!*

"Thanks for the meal. It was delicious." 

"I'm glad you liked it."

After that, Hiroyuki quickly stood up and started walking outside the room, with Senjumaru following behind.

Their destination is the Main Room of the house. Where his mother currently is. 

"Now, let's go and see what's up."
