Chapter 29: Black Cat Pirates Fight (1)

Ben was carrying Kaya like a princess in his arms. He was following Nugire towards the coast. They were going through the dense forest. He was in his hybrid form which made it easier to keep up. Nugire was not that fast.

As they were getting closer, Ben said, "I do think you will be a great addition to my crew. I need no the world needs your skills."

"I am sick and weak," Kaya meekly replies.

"No you are not. It's all in your head," Ben replied.

Kaya stayed silent.

"You can see the truth for yourself," Ben added.

The forest had opened up and he saw a ship with a few men on the coast. Ben changed back to his human form.

Kuro a tall and slim man with glasses and black hair. He wore a black captain's coat with the Black Cat Pirates' symbol. Under his coat he wore a simple white shirt and a pair of black pants.

Kaya saw the symbol and was shocked, she could not believe it.

Kuro was shouting at Nugire. Ben couldn't hear what they were saying but Kuro was angry. He smiled. Ben put Kaya down. She wobbled on her feet. Then she limped towards Kuro. Ben followed her.

"Kuro," Kaya shouts. She limps towards Kuro.

Kuro looks up and sees Kaya and a man behind her.

"Kuro, says it's not true, you did not send that man to kill me," says Kaya.

Of course not mistress, I will never hurt you. This is a big mis-understanding," Kuro replies with a serious face.

Kaya was about to say something when Kuro interrupted her. "Did you believe that you fool?"

"I, who was once the dreaded Captain Kuro, bowed and scraped to a spoiled little girl, and catered to her every whim... Can you fathom my humiliation?" said Kuro.

"I will make you an unfortunate accident and that friend of yours," he added.

"Get them both!" Kuro ordered.

Three dozen pirates surrounded Ben and Kaya. Ben didnt look fazed. Kaya was panicking and hyperventilating. Ben hugged Kaya and said, "It's okay. I will protect you."

"Who will protect you from us?" said a skinny man with a hunchback.

"Yeah who will protect you from us," said a fat man who looked like a cat.

All of a sudden, something came crashing down and knocked out a dozen pirates.

"You bastard," said the man.

"Shishishishi," said another voice.

"Don't laugh," he replied.

As the dust cleared. He could see Zoro and Luffy.

"Hey Ben. You said there is something fun going on." Luffy said.

"Certainly fun. Luffy you beat Captain Morgan last time so I get the guy with those circular glasses," Ben replied.

"I wanted to beat him," Luffy replied.

"We have a pirate alliance," Ben said.

"Fine," Luffy said.

"Gomu Gomu no Gatling," Luffy says as he knocks out another dozen pirates.

"Hey, take me on," said the man with a hunchback.

"Sure," Luffy said.

As Luffy was about to strike the man with the hunchback, the man who looked like a cat attacked Luffy with his claws. Zoro came and blocked his attack and said with a smile, "I got him Captain."

Nugire was about to attack Ben when Alvida came sliding in and blocked his attack. "I got him my love."

Ben thought it was good to have a reliable alliance and good crew. "Good job, but one more thing." Ben transformed into his hybrid form. He put his hand forward and said, "Demon Beam." The beam travelled and hit an old man with red heart shaped glasses. The beam went through his chest. "He has some mind control powers," Ben said.

"Awesome," Luffy said with sparkles in his eyes. Luffy then got hit with a scratch from the hunchback man.

"Pay attention Luffy," Zoro said.

Ben walked to Kuro. "You made Kaya cry," said Ben.

"I will end you," he said angrily. A slight pressure wave was felt by Kuro and the other soldiers.
