Chapter 38: Three Months Later

Three Months Later...

In the mesosphere, approximately 400 kilometers above the Earth's surface, you could witness the grandeur of the planet. The majestic and towering sea, the deep blue ocean interspersed with vast cloud formations, all of Earth's natural splendor was on full display here.

H'el marveled at the Earth's natural grandeur, contemplating the incredible odds that life could emerge from molecules, proteins, and nucleic acids, or whether it was an inevitable outcome in the course of ecological evolution. Observing the results over vast spans of time revealed the coincidence and greatness of life's origins.

The emergence of intelligence made beings feel that the universe now had meaning. H'el's thoughts on Earth were shaped by this perspective.

In the International Space Station (ISS), the largest and most international space station ever constructed, one that involved the cooperation of 16 countries, H'el had found a comfortable spot. He lay down, basking in the sunlight on the side facing the sun.

Inside the ISS, automated mechanical spiders and tentacles were modifying the space station, turning it into a space-based weapon.

Dawn continuously provided updates on the progress of conquering Earth. "Master, Earth has now established connections with 173 countries and 25 regions. The selected administrators are actively managing, maintaining order, and implementing reforms in their respective cities. Everything is proceeding smoothly."

And it was indeed proceeding smoothly. The selected administrators were all highly intelligent humans who either sought superpowers to confront H'el or were idealists filled with passion, aiming to reduce the disparities in their cities and improve the lives of the general populace.

With unfettered access to funds and the authority to exercise lethal power, those in leadership roles governed with zeal and enthusiasm for their hometowns, their people, the superpower genes, new authority, and the ideals they were fervently pursuing.

As for the remnants of the old capitalist powers and conservative networks, their time had already come to an end. Many had taken their own lives, and others had been publicly hanged from lampposts.

Huge sums of money were confiscated and frozen, and the domains of banking, finance, economics, and the internet were all under Dawn's control. Nearly every day, capitalists whose assets had been seized jumped from tall buildings. Even with the guarantees and protection offered by Dawn, they couldn't accept eating fast food and street stalls alongside ordinary people.

This led to bustling scenes at crematoriums across the world.

Dawn, following H'el's orders, took control of the funds, unified the internet, established new laws, lowered prices, and introduced a new currency to replace the old. With the world's food production capable of sustaining 15 billion people, while there were only over 7 billion on Earth, Dawnlight calculated and ensured that every common citizen would have enough to eat.

Each registered civilian in H'el's empire received a modest reward of 10,000 new coins as part of his conquest of Earth. Due to the decrease in prices, this was equivalent to the purchasing power of 50,000 old dollars. Sometimes, H'el heard about peculiar customs in certain regions and would casually command Dawn to make changes.

For example, in one nation, there was a strange practice where the purchase of property included a bizarre communal fee. This reminded H'el of unpleasant memories, so he casually abolished these communal fees, clearly defining the responsibilities of real estate companies in maintaining public areas and the role of property management personnel as service providers.

Real estate markets experienced a meltdown as people purchased homes using the 10,000 coins H'el provided. Some individuals knelt down and wept, others had complex expressions on their faces, some expressed gratitude to the divine, while others abandoned their ideals of resistance, their faces filled with confusion, realizing they could no longer defy the new order.

H'el introduced a set of rules and laws he had imagined before, including mandatory paternity tests for newborns and the death penalty for human trafficking. Regardless of how significant these changes were, they were implemented instantaneously at his command.

Some countries had peculiar social hierarchies, and H'el casually ordered changes to that as well. From the moment he conquered Earth, there could only be two classes on this planet: "Me!" and "Humans!"

There were also strange customs in some countries, like on the wedding night where the bride had to sleep with all the men in the groom's family to consummate the marriage. Additionally, people were required to cover their entire bodies with towels when leaving the house, exposing no skin. These customs, while sometimes presented as traditions or rules, were primarily means of amusement, oppression, and maintaining control through culture. Ultimately, it all boiled down to governance. (A/N: Reminder! This is fiction. Don't come for me.)

Only humans would oppress other humans. This type of oppression was the maintenance, preservation, and control of power over the mind and body. H'el, however, had no need for human wealth, status, power, or fame. What he truly sought was human wisdom, ideas, and the brilliant sparks of inspiration that were the greatest treasures of Earth's humanity.

H'el didn't mind at all if humans lived happily. It was because of this mindset and behavior that the entire lower strata of the Earth's population willingly submitted to H'el's rule within just one month. They enthusiastically welcomed him, thanking him with tears of joy for his arrival. This cooperation formed the foundation of H'el's reign.

The newly established Earth government received an unprecedented level of fervent support and admiration. H'el lay on the International Space Station and could hear praises from all corners of the world. The chorus of praise drowned out the curses and lamentations, snuffing them out completely.

"Earth has a total of 193 countries and 31 regions. Some people simply can't see the truth," H'el remarked. There were those, like drug dealers, criminals, and many greedy individuals who had harmed others for their own benefit, who still clung to the belief that H'el wouldn't come to eliminate them.

"I have transported all the criminals on Earth to the border regions of Southeast Asia: the Golden Triangle area spanning Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos; the Andes Mountains and Amazon region in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil; and the tri-border area of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran. I've ordered the Imperial Stakkpadian army to maintain control in these areas. They are now designated as Experimental Zones 1 to 10 for human subjects."

"The Anchorage Medical City has gathered all the world's experts in genetics. Dr. Sylvia leads the effort to make superpower genetic serum affordable, and the second-generation optimized genetic serum is currently undergoing experiments."

"We have already granted superpower genetic serum to 567 humans. Their knowledge has been put to astonishing use."

Hearing the information he desired, H'el stood up, placing his right hand casually on his bent right knee, and looked up at the sun with a smile.

The warmth of the sun always made him feel closer to it, no matter the time.

"Let me take a look at their wisdom."

In the next moment, H'el emitted a radiant glow, and from his body, a translucent projection of himself emerged.

A psychic force field projection.

Using his innate control over his powerful body and the ability to manipulate biological magnetic fields, H'el harnessed the biological magnetic field with his psychic abilities to create a tangible psychic force field projection. This projection allowed him to physically influence others through his body and mind, conducting substantial physical attacks.

H'el controlled air molecules with his psychic projection, splitting them at the molecular level. He began building a cellular structure, skeletal framework, internal organs, sensory organs, and a solid form from the inside out. He created a powerful psychic force field projection that appeared lifelike.

With his psychic projection, H'el leaped off the International Space Station, heading towards the Golden Triangle, Experimental Zone 1.

Washington, D.C.

At this location, the new political center of the H'el Empire, a grand palace worthy of the Emperor's decisive decisions was under construction.

Currently, there was only one spacious and bright Cabinet Council Hall.

Jupiter, along with her more than 300 elite secretaries from around the world, was here to address the reports from mayors of different regions, coordinate issues related to ethnic differences, laws, culture, shipping, agricultural products, specialties, resource sharing, city communications, finances, and much more to keep the massive H'el Empire running smoothly.

They tried to prevent it from reaching the point where the entire world relied solely on the Empire, aiming to keep the majority of the population content.

She had become a mere tool to maintain the vast H'el Empire. If not for being one of the first to take the superpower genetic serum, she might not have had the physical stamina for such massive political deliberations concerning the entire Earth.

Familiar members of the Human Self-Rescue Association entered through the large doors. Jupiter raised her head and handed over the ongoing financial review to the nearest secretary. With envious looks from the secretary, Jupiter moved in a flash, teleporting herself to the entrance where the members had just walked in.

They arrived at a building site without surveillance cameras, hidden in the shadows.

Jupiter, with a weary look, lit a slender cigarette and exhaled smoke rings. She squinted her eyes and gazed at the bustling construction site in the distance. It was likely the greatest palace in human history, incorporating designs from various architects worldwide and those from H'el's own ideas.

She shook her head, discarding some out-of-place thoughts, and communicated with the member in front of her through encryption.

"I've decided to start running, accumulating kinetic energy," the member spoke calmly.

"This might not be a good idea."

"Gaia has started to integrate into Earth's magnetic field. Everyone is developing superpowers with the same goal in mind. I need to build up momentum to deliver the most powerful blow. It's my destiny bestowed by superpowers, and the ideal I'm willing to dedicate my life to."

Gaia, a member of the Human Self-Rescue Association, was one of the first to take the superpower serum and had the ability to control electrical and magnetic fields. He had given himself the name Gaia.

Jupiter paused, holding the slender cigarette between her fingers, as sparks flickered.

"I will start running. The kinetic energy will give me unprecedented power and fortify my body, endlessly. On the first day, I'll be in extreme pain. On the second day, I'll be lost in darkness. On the third day, I'll die, but I will continue running. A month later, the power generated by kinetic energy will be complete. I will become a massive kinetic particle, unreasonably strong. I'll run for a year, two years, five years, ten years, until the future, when I will charge towards the aliens with the force of a supernova explosion."

"If Gaia awakens and can indeed control Earth's magnetic field to counter the aliens, treat me as a cannonball."

"If Gaia doesn't awaken in time, Jupiter, lead me in the right direction to charge at the alien."

"I will." Looking at the young, hopeful face in front of her, Jupiter nodded firmly and heavily.

The atmosphere here was silent, and Jupiter couldn't help but feel a sense of sorrow.

"I wonder who will be the first to strike against that alien," Lazarus, the runner, sighed with a smile, his eyes filled with hope, breaking the silence.

Unfortunately, he needed time to accumulate power; otherwise, he could have been the first to strike at the alien, testing their strength for future encounters.

Just as they continued forward without hesitation, a ray of psychic light leaped across their minds like a rabbit's hind legs, jumping from both of them.

Both of them stared at each other in amazement.

"Edward!"
