And so, the first day ends.

It has been twenty-five hours since it all started. The night had returned, but this time, no street lights accompanied it. For the first time in many decades, the stars returned to the black night.

Back in the gray, dirty lab, there was now a table with two stone seats, one on each side. On the east side of the table, there were all the electric ferrite bunnies eating batteries of all kinds in a pile with ferocity.

The bunnies showed their gratitude by purring or playing with light colors.

The human was observing the nearby bonfire from a while ago. On top of the fire, a metallic structure for cooking, with a frozen pizza, the barbecue smell filling the air.

"It is… really calming seeing a bonfire after… everything… Let me recapitulate: So the plan is to imitate how a body uses Remenant, into an artificial structure."

"Correct," the golem continued his attention on some blueprints on the table. "However, we will change a bit how it works."

The golem continued, "Combining our knowledge and minds. Usually, a body has a core or organs that generate the Remenant, pass through the respective veins, the mind orders what the Remenant must do, and it is reproduced if possible most of the time."

"However, it may be toxic, radioactive, or directly explosive to humans. So we need to do it outside of my body," Chump recalled that information.

"Indeed. So we need to recreate a Rem-circulatory system. First, we need conductors that the energy finds acceptable to pass through."

The human added, "And an insulator, to cover that material in every part that's not used."

"An insulator?" The golem's voice was filled with intrigue. "Why so? It's enough to have it over the clothes. You don't have to worry about it."

"I am not taking any chances; I will treat it as an electric circuit. What is made of the circuits?"

"It is made out of a weird mineral that's rarely found on both planets. You humans call it 'Tungsten.'"

Chump groaned, his face coated in regret at hearing that word. His voice filled the air with childish behavior. "Nooooo… Tungsten is the densest mineral in existence. I am gonna wear the heaviest circuit in the universe…"

"We will also need a generator… but the problem may be that it doesn't exist…yet. I never heard anything that could generate Remenant other than… well, people!"

"Your theory is filled with gaps! But I understand why; there was never the necessity. Very well. Then we need to replace that part." The human took a wooden shovel and moved the pizza to the nearest place.

"What's that?" Clem's curiosity peaked, observing the round food in front of him.

"A giant wood shovel and a pizza... Can you eat it? Even being part metal?" Chump scratched his head uncomfortably. "Perhaps I should take some things you eat or…"

"No no, it's fine. I can eat organic material for my arms and the taste of it."

Chump's voice took a confident tone. "You sure? I mean, I don't mind eating cold pizza while I—"

"I am sure!" The rock entity signaled the human to get nearby. "Now let me cut it into pieces."

Clem aimed his finger at the pizza. In a flash, the tiny laser cut the pizza with precision. Perhaps for the first time, real equal pieces were cut in the history of any pizza.

Chump took the blueprints and saw the structure, which was a tiny humanoid structure, similar to a suit.

"Wish this would be from my old job being a teenager… could change it with a battery..." Chump mumbled, munching a slice of the barbecue pizza.

"That would not be a bad idea. I know materials that can store Remenant."

"Alright, great!" Chump's mood glowed up. "We also need some way to recharge it."

Clem took a portion as well. After blowing the steam off, he took a bite. Silence reigned over the table. Clem closed his eyes. The bunnies looked at Clem out of a sudden lack of movements. Curiosity reigns over the table. Then a burst of emotions!

"THIS IS MAGNIFICENT CHUMP! HOW DO YOU HAVE THIS MARVELOUS LYING AROUND INSTEAD OF BEING KEPT UP AS A SECRET?!"

The human giggled at the honest reaction, answering his mood with a smug smile.

"That's barely anything of our gastronomy. You will be surprised how much we have advanced in this whole time."

"Man, perhaps it was stupid to kill your race off."

The mood was ruined, far more damaging than a chainsaw cutting thin paper.

"Ha. Ha. Ha." Chump glared at Clem with murderous eyes. "Man, could you stop it? I am tired already of seeing corpses every day. You know this place will be filled up with bugs for the next month until they eat the carcasses?"

"Will call Meisho for someone to clean up." The golem swallowed. "Anyway, Tungsten. Then we need a battery, crystals, and… the mind. How are you planning the mind thing?"

The human looked at the blueprints. "I am not planning to give the circuit a mind of its own. Neither to connect it to my mind. I am making it work like a light bulb."

"A light bulb? What is a light bulb?" Clem took another piece of pizza.

"It was a tool of common use. We used to illuminate dark places. Basically what the bunny electrics do like Zippy but… less intense."

"Alright, so you plan to have a Rem-circuit to light up places? That would be a bit underwhelming… Look, I can even give you one of my bunnies if you need to."

"No, ugh." Chump's face palmed and rolled his eyes. They took another piece. "I am planning to create a circuit that I can activate or deactivate, at will, any given spell."

Chump took a bite. "A physical mechanism that lets me turn on or off a spell."

"Oh, that's great… How do you plan to obtain a spell?" Clem looked at him.

"…I need to think more about this… Anyway, this is going to be the longest two months of my life. Need to train my whole body to carry around such apparatus... Perhaps even I can change the design."

"Sure buddy, I will help you out. A deal is a deal under the Promise. However, you have to explain to me what is that thing… on the train, you know… How was it called..."

"The Internet?"

"Yeah! Exactly, the Internet… what's that?"

"I… rather not." Chump's chest kicked in, the pressure building up. Clinging to the table, Chump continued. "Right now. That matter is not …something I can tell you of to you… Is our greatest… tool in our …his..to..ry… Hurts…"

"You have to tell me, man. You wanna have a Guardian appear and destroy you?"

"I will… Explain it… To your… superior about it…"

"About the internet? Huh, is that important for you to risk your own life Mr. Chump?"

The human nodded, the chest pain growing to a point that I felt as if elephants used him as a chair. The pain almost blinded him.

"…Interesting… Very well, I will accept this delay then."

The pain was intense but instantly disappeared. Everything inside his body turned out normal.

"Thank you."

Clem clapped his hand, "This is gonna be so much fun learning more and more about your technology! I am glad I found you Mr. Chump."

"Yeah… Fun…" The human looked at his hand and then at the front.

"I wonder what will happen…"

I like pizza. I dont care with or without pineapple, i just like pizza.

My tongue is a bit deteriored, i wonder why...

But i love meat pizza.

KYAHAHAHAHA!~
