A play boy or a bad boy

Liam intervened to prevent Peter from offering alcohol to Chris. Perplexed, Peter inquired, "Why?"

"It's Chris's wedding day, Peter," Liam responded.

Chris, on the other, was seated on the plush sofa with his head dropped down. More than twenty minutes had passed and he didn't utter a single word.

"I bet Suzy will divorce you soon. She hasn't seen the real Chris," attempting to uplift the atmosphere, Peter remarked.

"Shut your mouth, Peter," Chris snapped, finally raising his head. He glanced at both of them and elaborated, "I cannot leave the Onetti Family. I cannot see my half-siblings take over my family business. That's why I need to marry."

"We understand," Liam asserted. "Suzy looks quite mature to me. She isn't like other women you've hooked up with," he stated based on what he noticed about Suzy till now.

"That's the problem. She is tough to break. But she has one trait like every other girl whom I've hooked up with. Suzy loves money. My Grandpa invested in her business, saving her company from collapsing. The reason why she agreed to marry me," Chris explained to both of them.

"You brought her here so that she could see what kind of man you are and where you belonged, didn't you?" Liam inquired.

"Yes. I have never run behind anyone like this in my entire life. She made me go crazy since the last night. I thought bringing her here might make her change her mind," Chris asserted and chuckled. He leaned his head back and looked at the yellow light of the ceiling.

"My words came true. You got involved with a bossy woman, Chris," Liam stated, his lips curling up to smile.

"Are you happy about this?" Chris frowned at him.

"After marriage, will you stop living like earlier? What I mean is hooking up with any girl, you get your eyes on, doing late-night parties, etc.," Peter asked as he wanted to know if Chris would leave everything he did in the past.

"I am not going to leave that life just because I'm married against my choice. Instead, I will make her life hell and torturous. She agreed to marry me for the money. I will do everything to make her divorce me," Chris said with a determined gaze and asked them about the time.

"Sharp mid-noon," Liam replied. "Let's go to the wedding venue before your grandfather calls you," he suggested.

Chris hummed and rose to his feet. Behind him, Liam and Peter walked as they conversed with each other. They all got into Chris' sports car and headed to the venue.

Thomas tapped his fingers on the steering wheel as they were stuck in the traffic. For the past fifteen minutes, he listened to Suzy talking to her secretary related to work. He could not understand a single thing she said. He wondered how Chris would handle her.

Thomas heard Suzy ask him a question after she hung up the call, "What does Chris do all day?"

"Just random things, which every collegegoer does," Thomas replied.

"You mean drinking in the bar on a bright day, making out with any woman his eyes landed on, doing parties?" Suzy arched her eyebrow at him.

Thomas looked at Suzy and asked her why she decided to marry him. "He is a playboy or bad boy; whatever you want to call him," he muttered.

"A bad boy?" Suzy mumbled.

"Yes," Thomas replied when his phone pinged. He checked and found it was a message from Chris.

'Keep your mouth shut in front of Suzy,' Thomas read the message and put it down. The traffic got cleared and he drove the car to their destination.

"Does he ever go to the university?" Suzy asked, but Thomas didn't answer her this time.

"You should ask Chris all these questions. I cannot share anything with you," Thomas truthfully told her, instead of remaining quiet.

"Chris isn't ready to speak. All he does is make trouble. I thought through his friend I could know him," Suzy stated and excused herself to answer the call from Arthur.

"We are on our way to the venue, Sir. Chris isn't with me. He will come with his friends," Suzy politely answered.

"Miss Watson was supposed to come with Chris. He will now keep delaying everything," Arthur said from the other side with an annoying tone.

"I'm sorry, Sir. I thought Chris needed some alone time with his friends. Everything happened so quickly that it's not easy to digest for him," Suzy maintained her calm demeanor while talking.

"Hmm. I'm waiting for you both," Arthur said and disconnected the call.

Suzy rested her hands on her lap and heard Thomas say, "Miss Watson will not stand in this marriage for long. Chris isn't easy to handle. Grandpa Arthur tried hard to make Chris work according to him." In short, he also advised Suzy to leave Chris' life and not go forward with this marriage.

"I know how to handle boys like him. You don't have to worry about it," Suzy stated and looked out of the car's window.

Suzy knew she had entered a world, where she would get hurt constantly. But that would happen only if she tried to build a relationship with Chris. To reach her aim, she needed to calmly understand Chris first, before making a plan.

After their marriage, a lot of things might change. She had to shift to Chris' place, which might be a late-night party hub. Arthur sent clear instructions through Benjamin about what she had to do after the marriage.

The foremost thing was sending Chris to the university and making him regular. Through his friend, Suzy tried to know about Chris, but she couldn't get more information after Thomas got a message that she thought was from Chris.

Finally, they reached the wedding venue where Suzy's fate would be locked with Chris forever. She had to be with him for eternity, and the thought itself terrified her.
