Chapter 22.Why so angry?

Ace had run to his ship, but he found that most of his crewmates hadn't returned yet, so he couldn't set sail with the kidnapped Bepo yet. His plan was to have Law chase him.

Ace felt like he had chased to many crewmates lately and he wanted to know what it felt like when potential crewmates chased him for a change.

But his plans were destroyed.

Seeing how Law was nearing him looking really angry, Ace felt nervous as he felt that it had gotten way harder to take in Law as his nakama.

Looking at Bepo that was crying, Ace decided to keep running until a master plan struck his giga brain.

Law followed Ace to the shore, thinking that the bastard would finally face him, but in the end, the man continued running while carrying his navigator and friend, so Law ran after him.

The mob that had chased them were not fast enough to keep up and lost the two a long time ago.

Nami, Gaga and Bonney returned to the ship, sulking, they had no choice but to wait for the rest of the crew in case Ace caused more trouble.

As for Ace, he kept running.

"Bastaaaaaard stop so I can kill yoouuuuuu!" He heard Law shout from behind.

*Gulp*

"But I don't want to die yet!" Ace shouted back.

But his words didn't calm down Law, instead it was as if his words had set the young man ablaze and Law got even angrier.

"Dude calm down, I didn't really do anything wrong... In fact, I think you're the one in the wrong more than me!" Ace tried to use reasoning and logic to calm him down...

But when Law heard those words it was as if of someone had pumped him up with anabolic steroids.

Laws face got all red and veiny because of his furious anger.

*Gulp*

"Alright alright I forgive you!" Ace shouted, hoping that Law would see reason.

When Law heard those words, something snapped inside him.

A force of willpower was released from Law as it furiously grew up to a radius of 50 meters.

Anyone that was in the radius of 50 meters from Law fainted because of his uncontrolled conquerors haki.

Ace halted for a second when he felt that.

'Did he awaken his conquerors haki??' Ace thought while being aghast.

Law didn't seem to even notice it himself as he was seeing red.

*Gulp*

"We both did wrong today so let's just forgive and forget!" Ace tried one last time to calm down the furious Law.

Suddenly a second burst of conquerors haki was released from Law as he chased Ace.

Haki expanded lots of stamina, and since Law used his haki for the first time, twice for that matter, and uncontrollably, he felt faitgued.

Law halted while panting fiercely, his eyes never leaving Ace for a second.

Ace also stopped.

"Look, it's all a misunderstanding!" Ace said... But Law's predatory faze never left him.

"Erm... Here's your crewmate." Ace tried handing the crying Bepo to Law.

Law seemed to calm down a level when he saw that Ace had no evil intentions to his nakama.

Seing this, Ace smiled in relief.

"Hey, how about ya join my crew?" Ace finally asked.

When Law heard those words, he once again felt his rage return. At that point he lost it and slashed his sword toward Ace while releasing another burst of conquerors haki.

Ace sighed at this and simply dodged the sword slash. If only the man had been calm and not so emotional, he could've used his devil fruit to free bepo from the beginning, and he might be been able to fight with Ace properly. But his rage blinded him.

The fact that Ace asked him to join his crew right after all this, made Law feel like Ace was intentionally trying to make an enemy out of him.

'Ah, he is propbably so temperamental because he is still young. I wonder why he got so mad?' Ace wondered as he was about the attack Law back.

But the third burst of haki seemed to take all of his energy as Law fainted right after it.

"Huh that... Solves all my problems." Ace said.

Bepo suddenly jumped in front of his captain, his depressive aura had disappeared and he looked ready to protect his captain.

"Hey buddy, don't worry, I won't harm him. In fact, I want ya to join my crew!" Ace said nonchalantly.

"Oh..." Suddenly he turned depressive gain as he realised that he had done something unnecessary.

Nami was keeping watch, ready to set sail as all the crewmates had returned with all their missions accomplished to restock the ship.

Their plan was to restock the ship then go enjoy a nice adventure on this island, but as they restocked, Nami explained what had happened and told them to get ready to set sail.

Soon she found Ace walking back to the ship, but this time, he wasn't carrying the white bear, he was carrying the man that had chased him.

Ace was laughingly talking to the bear while carrying Law.

Seing how carefree he was while walking and laughing with a talking bear, as if he hadn't cause any troubles, made her feel her stress levels rise.

"Oh, Hey Nami. Why are you guys on the ship? Shouldn't you enjoy the trip on this island?" Ace asked curiously as he noticed that the whole crew was on board, ready to set sail.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

In the end, Nami spoke up. "I'm wondering the same thing." She said.

"Hahaha Nami you're so funny. You should be our ship's clown instead of navigator!" Ace said with good intentions.

"Yes, I feel like a clown as well." She said with zero emotion. She turned back and return to her sleeping quarters as she felt drained.

Everyome kept silent as they felt bad for Nami.

"Everyone this is Bepo, the talking bear and our new crewmate, and this sleepy guy is Trafamango Law!" Ace said happily.

"Trafalgar Law!" Bepo corrected.

"Transexual Law!" Ace copied what Bepo said.

"No, Trafalgar!"

"Trafalafel?" Ace asked.

Before Bepo could correct him, Ronaldino Ronaldo stepped forward and put his hand on his shoulder.

"Give it up buddy." He said with a sad tone to Bepo, as he felt like the walking bear was fighting an uphill battle.

Bepo nodded.

"Captain, why's he sleeping" *NOMNOM* Bonney said as she chewed her pizza that she had gotten from somewhere.

"Tsk, you're right.. why is he sleeping so peacefully when I asked him to join our crew, he has the gall to not answer me and sleep instead, hmph." Ace got slightly mad when he thought about it.

*SPLASH* He suddenly threw the fainted Law into the sea.

Everyone lost the colour on their faces whe they saw his impulsive actions.

"Oh right, he has eaten a devil fruit right?" He realised as he looked at the horrified Bepo, waiting for confirmation.

Seing how Bepo seemed petrified by his unexpected actions, Ace sighed before looking towards Yennow.

"R-Right away captain!" He said before diving to rescue Law.
