Chapter 17. Aftermath.

Karna' looked at the dead king, he sighed and prayed to 'Mahadev' for the dead soul. Then he looked around the chember found a brush on the study table, he got an idea, he picked up the brush and write a message with king's blood on the wall infront of the door.

Then he silently come out of palace by blending in plane site among many servants, he ditched the clothes here and there to get rid of evidence, and come to the tree and got himself in his clothing and equipment, he sneaky got past the soldiers on petroling, he got out the city and made his way towards his Horse 'Umbra'.

Karna' mount on his house and goes towards his destination.

Next day inside of capital....

Whole capital is in lockdown, King Sunil his Mantri Akshay and a member of the royal court got assassinated inside of their own chember, they also found a message written on the King's Chember,

" From this day forward if I hear about the corruption in this or any region then I will come to deliver justice to them, and eradicate the evil. "

Senapati (General )took the charge of the investigation. They search every corner of the capital, every house of the capital but they found nothing related to the case but they found unconscious head servent.

Senapati Ravindra' is tall worrior and rigid looking face, he has sence of justice, but bound by rule, his work is to listen order, thus he cannot interfere with the royalty but within his power what he can do he does, but with the corruption going around in this region he has a little power with him but those are with him they are loyal to him and followers of 'Dharm'.

Ravindra narrowed his eyes looked at the head servent and asked, " we found you unconscious without any clothes, we suspect this incident has something to do with you, so I want to hear your side."

Servant said tremblingly, " I didn't do anything panipat, I'm innocent, please don't punish me,"

Ravindra shouted angrily," Quite! You will answer what you asked, any word more than that I will personally put you in dungeon."

Servant got scared and said, "Panipat Senapati, when I was going out of the palace, a hand suddenly grabbed me from behind, I struggle but I cannot do anything, I was losing my breath, I was scared I thought I am about to die, but then I loose my consciousness."

Ravindra looked at him and pondered for a while, he signal him to go.

Servant bowed to him and thanked him and went out hurriedly.

Ravindra got up and goes towards the royal court to inform the news.

At royal court...

Yubraj Vikram' is sitting in Yubraj's seat. He is fair tall a good looking, he is Ardh Rathi worrior,he is 24 years old,he got his education from teacher so he is quite knowledgeable and knows about the the in and out of this region. He tried to lessen the impact of corruption countless times, he is in path of 'Dharm'. He knows his 5 brothers are corrupted as well he tried to chenge them but no results, he is sad for them,thus he took over the court with power. To lessen the impact of the situation.

Senapati Ravindra' came to court salute Yubraj and kneel before him and said, " Panipat Yubraj, my humble greetings to you, I have some news, If I have your permission I will like to present before you."

Vikram' raised his hand said, " Senapati Ravindra' you may stand and present the news. I gave you the permission."

Ravindra' stood up and said, " Thank you for your permission Yubraj, I found someone who was unconscious outside of the palace, he was put unconscious by the killer, he knows nothing about the killer."

Vikram' frowned and said, " So, we know nothing about the assassin, he must be very strong at least Ardh Rathi caliber, he must be good at infiltration, anti recognition, disguise, we all know that assassin is very good in Archery. "

Ravindra' listen to Yubraj and sighed, and said, " yes Yubraj we know nothing about him, but we cought some spy of other regions."

Vikram' raised an eyebrow, " That's some good news, put them in the dungeon, torture them and get out the information as much as possible. Thus within my power of Yubraj I declare today's meeting end here."

Vikram' got up and walk past Ravindra' and said in low voice," Meet me at night alone."

Ravindra narrowed his eyes and siid in inaudible voice, " ok. "

Within a day all the spy who doesn't got caught spread the news to whole Hastinapur Kingdom that 'Adharmi' king Sunil assisinated, and killer not found and they also spread the news about the crime and wrongdoing of the King.

At night inside of Yubraj's chember, Ravindra' got in silently, he saw Yubraj Vikram' waiting for him. He got on his knees and salute in low voice, " Yubraj , if you have any order."

Yubraj Vikram' walked towards him hold his shoulders and make him stand and said, " Brother Ravindra' How many times I have to said you should not Kneel before me in private. "

Ravindra' sighed and asked, " yes Vikram' it has become habits. So why have in mind, why have you called me today? "

Vikram' smiled and said," Yes brother Ravindra, I need your help to cleaning the court from corruption, and help in maintaining order in region."

Ravindra narrowed his eyes and asked, " what have your mind Vikram'? "

Vikram' sighed and said, "My brothers have been walking in the path of'Adhram' I have to do something, I cannot kill them they are my kin but cripple them. So make accident and cut one of their hands. I do not want them dead but cripple them so they cannot run for King."

Ravindra' widened his eyes in surprise and said," But, everyone will suspect you are the culprit."

Vikram' sighed and said, " I know Brother Ravindra' but they cannot be in the seat, our region has suffered enough, and it cannot suffer any more, I will not tolerate this, if I have other easy option I would have choose them. "

Ravindra' suddenly got an idea, " I have a way, I will dress and disguise and do the job and shift the blame on that assassin, I will write a message that 'They are walking in the path of 'Adhram' they cannot be in control of the region' and I will speare some eyewitness. So that they will not blame you."

Vikram' smiled and said, " Thank you brother, you help me retain my reputation this time, it will help me control easily. I will announce tomorrow that I will stage a Yagna' and Puja near Ganga river for coronation ceremony, I will make my 5 brothers to go with the small ammount of soldiers who are loyal to corrpted royals, and they will be in different path in distence of 2 hour horse ride.

They will leave in order of 1 hour interval for security purposes. So they will not suspect you or me, I will also tell them that I gave you a secret mission to search for assassin."

Ravindra' said, " it's my duty Vikram' to look out for my homeland, you don't need to thank me."

Next day ant Raj sabha.....

Yubraj Vikram' declared his idea of Puja and Yagna' at the Bank of holy river Ganga for perpose of coronation ceremony, he will invite sage and 'Brahmins' to this Yagna',they all agreed to that. He also declared that Senapati Ravindra' will be on the mission to finding assassin.

Word spread like wildfire about coronation ceremony and Yagna'.

Another site, Karna' is going towards his next destination. He himself doesn't know of it where he will go.
