Chapter 41: Iron Man Needs to Carry a Gun Every Day

(Vote Plz...)

Thor was taken aback when he heard that Tony Stark had recorded a video.

"Stark! How could you record a video?"

"If it makes you feel better, Loki, I recorded it too."

"How could you record a video?"

"This is a video from the future. It would be foolish not to record it, right? Shh! Don't make a sound. I'm about to win. I want to savor this victorious moment!"

In the video, Tony Stark performed a back throw, bringing Ivan Vanko down to the ground, and then reached out to snatch the arc reactor from his chest.

This arc reactor was the power source for Ivan Vanko's electric whip. With it taken away by Tony Stark, Ivan Vanko was rendered powerless. After all, an ordinary person barehanded could never be a match for Tony Stark in his armored suit.

Ivan Vanko knew this well and didn't resist any further, allowing the police to take him away.

Tony Stark had won, but he wasn't happy because his victory didn't come as easily as it seemed. His armor had suffered significant damage, and he looked disheveled.

"The charge time for the repulsor in the palm is too long. It needs improvement."

"The power of the repulsor needs to be increased. It was ridiculous that it was broken by his whip."

"The time it takes to put on the armor is still too long. If Happy hadn't held off Ivan Vanko, I wouldn't have had time to put on the armor."

Tony Stark reflected on the shortcomings of his armor.

Indeed, he now had the Mark VII, which was more advanced than the model in the video, but some of the issues revealed in the video also existed in the Mark VII.

"Stark, you lost! You lost! Hahaha!" Ivan Vanko's assassination attempt had failed, and he was being dragged away by the police. However, he was excited and burst into laughter.

Tony Stark looked at the arc reactor in his hand and squeezed it forcefully, causing it to explode.

The screen disappeared, and the video ended.

"Stark, you must delete the video." Thor couldn't wait for everyone to analyze the video and immediately demanded that Tony Stark delete it.

"Sorry, Thor, these are videos from the future. I can't delete them," Tony Stark said. "Who knows which detail contains important clues about the future."

"Yes, Thor, we can't delete the videos," Phil Coulson stood by Tony Stark's side. "Take your videos, for example. Don't you want to know what dangers await Asgard in the future and how you end up as a gladiator in that place called Sakar? Don't you want to find out?"

"Of course, I want to know, but... but..." Thor felt that the whole world had turned dark at the thought of the video of him being tossed around by the Hulk. "But can't we just delete that small part? It wouldn't have any impact, right?"

"We don't know, do we?" Phil Coulson's voice carried a rational tone. "Because we have no idea what happened in the future, we can't determine which details hold clues about it. Thor, the fate of Asgard is at stake in this future. Are you sure you want to delete those details just because of your meaningless pride?"

Thor remained silent for a while upon hearing their words.

"Yes!" Phil Coulson couldn't help but silently clench his fist. Finally, he managed to convince this naive child. He needed to ask Tony Stark to send him a copy of the video immediately. Such a classic scene needed to be revisited frequently, accompanied by a bottle of champagne. It would make life perfect.

"Stark, I have to say, your temper is really foul," Clint Barton couldn't help but remark. "Your driver risked his life to bring you the armor, and instead of thanking him, you berated him in the midst of the crisis!"

"It's understandable to lose control a bit when you almost get killed," Tony Stark tried to defend himself, but he was indeed feeling guilty. "Well, what I did was really inappropriate. I apologize to them."

"Stark, I think you shouldn't rely too much on the armor," Phil Coulson said. "Certainly, with the armor on, you have almost no enemies. But you can't wear the armor 24/7. Without the armor, you're too weak."

"Coulson is right. Ivan Vanko's equipment was far inferior to your armor, yet you had such a hard time winning this battle," Clint Barton also chimed in. "Clearly, your close combat skills are lacking. If you had even a bit of combat awareness, you could easily defeat Ivan Vanko."

"Sorry, but I am a scientist and a businessman. I'm not Bruce Lee," Tony Stark said.

"That's exactly what I'm saying, Stark," Phil Coulson continued. "You don't have to become Bruce Lee. You just need to have some knowledge of combat and martial arts, not to be an expert, but enough to defend yourself. This way, when there comes a day without the armor, you won't be helpless."

"To be honest, you only survived this time because Ivan Vanko was so foolish," Clint Barton added, taking a dig at Tony Stark. "He had such a powerful weapon in his hands and yet couldn't kill you when you weren't wearing the armor. The level of stupidity in that situation rivals your foul-mouthed driver who saved you."

"Barton is right. If the same opportunity were given to me or any trained agent, Stark, you would be dead after that assassination attempt at the race track," Phil Coulson stated. "Stark, you really need to consider some training."

"I can help you with that," Thor said. "I am one of the most powerful warriors in the universe."

"Guys, first of all, I have to say that you're right, and I agree wholeheartedly," Tony Stark surrendered with raised hands. "Without the armor, I'm just an ordinary person, and my combat skills are indeed poor, as well as my ability to defend myself. But as the saying goes, 'Everyone should specialize in their own field.' I am a scientist, and my expertise lies in research, not in being a secret agent. In my opinion, the assassination attempt at the race track today could have been easily resolved. I just need to carry a small handgun and a few bullets. Maybe I wouldn't even need to wait until I put on the armor to send Ivan Vanko to meet his father, if his father is dead."

"But a handgun is still an external object. It's better to rely on personal strength..."

"But most of the time, isn't that external object quite useful? Even the most well-trained agent can't withstand a bullet," Tony Stark argued. "Instead of wasting time learning combat, I'd rather spend more time researching the armor. If one day I can develop the armor to beportable and wearable at all times, what do I have to fear from assassinations?"
