Chapter 6

"This is going nowhere." Wen said with a sigh as he looked at his phone.

His mood had worsened ever since he had met Lin 4 days ago, and with the fact that he wasn't getting any kind of job was also grating on his nerves as he has been trying as hard as he could to get a job. As he was feeling hopeless, he didn't expect anything as he touched the message from a company he had asked for a job for.

But his eyes flew open when he saw that it was a message saying that he had been accepted for the job. The place he had went to get the job was a rival company of Lin's so he was hoping that at least they won't come under the sway of her influence and it looks like he was right in his decision.

"Yes! I finally have a job!" Wen said happily as he looked at the screen.

The company he had asked for is a good company so he was happy that he was able to get a job there. With that he got ready the next day and was on his way to the company. He felt suspicious but he didn't find any reason why the company would deny him for Lin's company so he decided to not think about it that much as he reached the building.

'God, please let me have this job.' Wen prayed before he entered the building.

"Um, hello my name is Chen Wen and I came here for a job." Wen said at the counter.

"Ah yes, Mr. Chen, please go this way and meet with the chief of your section and you will be given more information." The staff said to him as he nodded.

He then made his way to the chiefs office and entered with a smile. Only for it to disappear when he saw Zhang Huan standing in the office with a man he presumed to be the chief.

"Ah you've come Wen. It's nice to see you. We haven't meet in almost 3 months now." Huan greeted him with a smile.

"What are you doing here?" Wen asked as he kept his voice level.

"Oh nothing much, I had just come to see your face when you realised that you were fooled." Huan said with a smile.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Wen asked him as he got a bad feeling.

'This company wouldn't work with Lin's would they?' Wen thought to himself as he looked at them.

"Well, if you don't believe me then why don't you ask the chief." Huan said as he looked at the chief.

"It is as Mr. Zhang says. He has decided to give our company a generous donation. In exchange for creating this situation of course. I am sorry to say Mr. Chen, but we have no intention of hiring you in our company. Please don't have any hard feelings towards us. It's only business." The chief said to him with a smile but Wen could see the condescending face of the man.

"You. This is your doing." Wen asked Huan as he glared at the man as he smirked at the glare.

"Yes but it was under my dear wife's wishes. And I was more than happy to show trash like you your real place." Huan said with a condescending smile.

"What is your problem with me?" Wen asked the man as he couldn't understand his motives.

"Are you really that dumb? It's because you don't deserve a woman like Xiao Lin. She is a woman of a high status while you are a trash without money or fame. I'm still shocked by how you two were together. But in the end you were sent to your rightful place. In the streets. I'm happy to see this." Huan said shamelessly with a smile.

"Bastard!" Wen finally lost it as he dashed to the man and punched him on his face.

The force from the punch sent him to the floor as the chief was shocked at his action as Wen has an angry face.

"Security!" The chief screaming the next moment.

Then two security guards came and restrained Wen as he glared at Huan as the young Master got up. He then glared at Wen in anger before he walked in front of him and then punched him on his stomach causing him to cough.

"Get this trash out of my sight." Huan said as the security nodded to his words.

Then the security pulled him with them and then threw him out of the building as he hit the ground as he groaned in pain.

"Don't ever return here." One guard said before the two went back into the building.

Wen winced as he slowly got up from the ground but then the sound of smartphones got his attention as he looked around him. His eyes widened as he saw people taking photos and videos of him as he was thrown out of the company.

"You've gotta be kidding me." Wen said as he walked away from the place.

Time skip

It has not been long since his fiasco at the company but his situation has worsened. The video about him being thrown out of the company has circulated in the net which caused him to get a bad reputation since it was a reputable company. His reputation has been squandered by the video, and the people that he had met when he was coming home and the ones in the apartment had also seen it and started to talk behind his back.

"What the hell is this Wen? What did you do at the company? Everyone in our area knows about you!" Wen's father shouted from his phone.

"I didn't do anything dad." Wen said as he grit his teeth.

"Don't try to weasel your way out of this! Do you know how this will affect us?!" His father shouted regardless.

"Dad I'm in a tight spot okay! I need some more money, mine is about to run out." Wen said to his father as he was getting more angry.

"Really now! What did you do with the money!? I'm sure you spent all of it enjoying it! You've always been this lazy ever since you were a child! When will you finally become an adult and grow up! I'm not giving you anymore money. First learn to be an adult!" His father shouted at him before cutting the call.

"Dad! Dad! Damnit!" Wen shouted when his father cut the call.

But then he got another call, which he saw was from his sister. He was hesitant at first but decided to answer her call.

"Hello?" Wen said as he picked the call.

"Wen! What the hell did you do?! You are all over the net! Do you know that my friends are questioning me about this!" His sister shouted the moment her took the call.

"That's what you're worried about!" Wen shouted when he heard her.

"Of course! My reputation is at stake here! What do you think I must be going through here!? Not only do I have a brother who is useless, he is someone who causes trouble! You were always average since childhood and now this! Why did I have to get you as a brother! Why don't you do me a favour and just die huh!" His sister ranted as his anger.

"Well then you can take your reputation and shove it up your ass!" Wen shouted at her furious.

"Wha! How da!" His sister said surprised but the call was cut by him as he didn't want to talk to her anymore.

She tried to call again to which he cut it but she kept on doing it. Feeling irritated from all the things that has been going on with him he left his phone in his room and left the apartment hoping to find some secluded place to calm down.
