Seeing the crowd didn't plan on dispersing I decided to take the direct approach.

"You are seeking an explanation for something that you are not entitled to. I didn't ask for any of you to be there nor did ask for your help which is why I didn't go out looking for your permission. It is beyond arrogant to demand an answer from me which is why none of you dared to voice it."

Superman: You should have let us know about it at least

Super Girl: couldn't you have done this off earth to not cause panic?

"The last time I did something "off earth" I was followed, accused and literally murdered so no."

As I said it there was a murmuring threw the crowd of heroes that came through the portal. It would appear that not everyone was informed of what occurred or at least not the specifics as some seemed confused. It would appear that Raven didn't share our enlightening talk. Harley seemed to hate Dr Strange for no apparent reason from my perspective as she was glaring daggers at him but that seemed to be the concensus of criminals in Gotham. I wasn't exactly sure why the closest explanation I got was something about Arkham.

*Boom*

A Boom tube opened up above Gotham and swarms of Para demons poured out into the city. Whatever they planned to say to me was immediately thrown out to the wayside as we no longer had the luxury of time to debate. Everyone sprung into action fighting off legions of Para demons. I knew that Darkseid never did things by half so I wasn't surprised when Fury's face popped up on my Omni tool.

Fury: This is a global alert we are facing a planetary invasion all available personnel is to be on high alert! This is happening all over the world. Super criminals are eligible for amnesty for their previous crimes in exchange for participation in the protection of the world depending upon their level of aid.

As soon as the transmission ended it was like a rock was thrown at a bee hive. Various powerful individuals began to come out of the woodwork and began a counterattack. Mr Freeze was blasting away shoulder to shoulder with Shield agents, Killer croc was tearing into a Para demon and Mirror master was actively helping people escape the chaos. On the Marvel side Magneto was leading an army of Mutants cutting through the invaders, Captain Marvel was facing against the Female Furies with help from Moonstone, Viper, and Scream. Everyone everywhere was after their pound of flesh it seemed like we were going to push them back until Darkseid.

Darkseid emerged from the Boom tube over Gotham his hands behind his back not directly watching the battle. It seemed as if it was a forgone conclusion to him as if everything was already decided. Shazam flew directly toward him ready to unleash the hurt but Darkseid barely acknowledged his presence. Instead he used crazy omega beams from his eyes without turning his head to zap him out of the sky. Shazam was quickly caught by a random force user before he hit the ground. Captain Marvel flew toward Darkseid and he finally reacted meeting her head on. She held her ground but was definitely struggling.

Throughout this whole ordeal my girls weren't idle they quickly sprang into action to fight against the unexpected horde. Meanwhile Internally I was panicking I no longer had an exit strategy as the fucking pigeon damaged my ship too badly for it to leave earth! I could and would easily back stab everyone on earth for my own survival but I needed to continue fighting against this invasion. Darkseid is a literal evil god he doesn't take kindly to weakness and hates resistance. I needed to find a perfect in between for him to view me as valuable enough to recruit in case we lost. So I stopped holding back and ruthlessly began killing anything from Apokolips excluding Knockout of course.

I created intense Solar flames that I guided using the Force and used psionics to kill the minds of enemies. I never stopped firing my plasma rifle the entire time as flaming wings appeared behind me making me look like a war angel. I was using my ghost training to the maximum eventually I caught the attention of Steppenwolf.

Steppenwolf: It would appear that there are real warriors among the masses. It will be fun to kill you do a good enough job and I might keep your skull for my collection.

I immediately called for Selene but just as she appeared by my side the Bifrost opened between me and Steppenwolf.
