Found berk (3)

We circled around and found a good place that looked like where toothless and hiccup usually meet. Since I didn't know what time it was I decided to play safe and rest in a cave nearby.

The next morning alae woke me up for me to see hiccup and toothless packing up.

"Wait!"

Both toothless and hiccup turned towards me while toothless was growling hiccup said

"Who are you? Never mind that toothless let's go it's to late to regret leaving."

I signed for Alae to come out and we went on a chase while keeping my distance without them noticing they landed on an island.

"Hiccup can you let me explain."

"How did you follow me here?"

He slowly looked at Alae and connected the dots.

"There are more dragon riders."

"That's not really true. I'm a special case, but in the future you will be the one who makes berk have peace with the dragons."

"What is that supposed to mean, and how do you also have a night fury. No it's more accurate to say it's a alpha night fury."

"Before I answer anymore questions we need to go back to berk."

Without giving him the chance to respond I tried to convince him

"Berk needs you hiccup, you are the future chief and the greatest dragon tamer."

"I'm not the one who tamed a giant night fury. And even if I went back they still wouldn't accept dragons. Not to mention that if I go back I'm gonna need to kill a dragon."

While knowing the plot I tried to stick as close to it as possible.

"Why don't you try taming the dragon that they are making you kill."

Hiccup responded quickly

"That's stupid."

"Worth a try."

"No it's not"

"Cmon saddle up we're going back to berk."

"Fine."

On our way there he asked where I was from and I came up with some fake story. The story went "while on my way going on a morning flight. I saw my village on fire with the dragons killing their tamers. I some how managed to escape with one prophecy. A young boy that would bring dragons back and restore their passive state."

Hiccup tried to comfort me while saying "I'm sorry your village burned in front of your eyes."

"It's fine I was just like you back then. Night fury's were said to be a bad omen."

"Look, it's berk ahead." I said trying to change the subject since I'm a really bad at lying.

"Follow me I'll take you to where toothless stays."

"Alright, you can call me Egil."

"Egil, interesting. If I'm correct it means terror."

"Yeah, I'll follow your lead now."

As we dismounted our dragons and went into the forest.

"What will I tell the village?"

"That's if they are able to see me."

"I don't know what you mean but I'm going to trust you. Be careful now we're coming up on the village."

"Go ahead I'll catch up."

I whispered to myself "system activate camouflage."

[input received activating unique skill "camouflage"]

I slowly followed hiccup avoiding all contact to not be seen but also keeping my distance from him.

HICCUP POV

I tried acting natural while occasionally looking behind me trying to find Egil. Until a certain limping Viking slapped my back.

"Ata boy hiccup, I can't believe that you'll be killing your first dragon tomorrow. I'm sure stoick will be proud of you." Gobber basically yelled the first part and lowered his tone for the last.

"Yeah, I can't wait to kill that darn dragon." I forced out of me with no motivation

After this encounter with gobber I past everyone calling me and pretended like I didn't hear them, and bolted straight to my room.

EGIL POV

Following hiccup I deactivated camouflage and slowly opened his room door.

"Hey Egil, I need your help with something."

"I'm right here to help."

"Long story short I went into dragon training where you train to kill dragons. I ended up doing the best by using things I learned from toothless against the dragons. now I have to kill one and I don't know what to do."

Pretending I didn't already know this I helped by saying.

"Why don't you try taming the dragon in front of them instead of killing it."

"I'll try that, thanks a lot by the way."

"No problem, I'll see you at next morning."

Once I left his room I reactivated camouflage and returned to where toothless and Alae were staying. And slept like a baby.
