Chapter 51: Visiting the Library

The Library of Kamar Taj was huge. It was filled with a huge number of books. One could not even count the number of books in the library.

It ranged from history of different civilizations to history of magic, spell books, alchemy, information about magical beasts and magical herbs and books about many more topics.

'What should I first look at? I want to read and learn everything from here. Should I study about runes first or dark magic or maybe about magical beasts?' Law thought hard about what to study.

"Damn my head hurts thinking about this. Let's just read about the different magical artifacts first followed by information about magical beasts and then knowledge about runes. That bald lady doesn't trust me fully yet as she has not allowed me to access Dark Magic and Dark arts section. I really wanted to know about it as it would help me with my research about the artificial human/Gigai."

He first went to the artifacts section. There were various books about them. First he took out the book about 'How are Artifacts made?'

He read it completely. In short there were two most common ways to make artifacts. The first one was using runes and special materials to make it. An example is Thor's Mjölnir.

Mjölnir was crafted from a nugget of Uru, a powerful nigh-invulnerable Asgardian metal. Additional enchantments placed upon it by Odin made it virtually indestructible.

The other way artifacts are formed are by the divinity of Gods. Crimson Gem of Cyttorak which gives the one the power of Juggernaut who would become the avatar of the entity Cyttorak also known as Destroyer.

"Hmm, the crimson gem of cyttorak has not been found yet since there is no juggernaut running down the streets. Also there are seven similar artifacts from different entities like Cyttorak. Since this world is following the movie version of X men's timeline until now that means only Juggernaut would get the powers while the other temples would collapse. But later they too would appear only to be defeated by Juggernaut.

"Messing with these Entities would be fun. I can't wait to steal their artifacts and their divinity inside it. Let's see what powers these artifacts offer." Law muttered with a grin

as he opened the book about the different artifacts.

"Huh so the information was given by Vishanti but the location of these artifacts are not given. It would have made my life easier but it makes sense. Even if the mystic arts practitioners find these artifacts, they couldn't handle the corruption of these entities so they would most likely die or turn mad."

"Here it is the 8 artifacts and the abilities they grant." [A/N: Info dump but it's kinda interesting so I added it.]

GOD/ENTITY: ARTIFACT

Balthakk: Blinding Brazier

Gives the ability to fly and project blasts of heat, as well as above-average combat skills.

Cyttorak: Crimson Crystal

Gives superhuman durability and strength.

Farallah: Fearsome Fist

Gives superhuman speed, coordination/fighting ability, and claws.

Ikonn: Ivory Idol

Gives powerful psionic and mental control abilities

Krakkan: Kestrel Key

Gives enhanced fighting skills and a wide assortment of weaponry attached to her costume.

Raggadorr: Ringed Ruby

Gives superhuman strength and combat skills, and the ability to design and build the "God Machine", which would drain humanity of its free will

Valtorr: Verdant Vial

Gives "touch of death" that caused organic objects to disintegrate.

Watoomb: Wonderous Waterfall

Gives the ability to turn into wind, becoming intangible and able to fly and create powerful hurricanes and wind storms.

"Looks like I found the cores/energy sources for my sentinels. These cores would be perfect to power them. Also these entities wouldn't be able to corrupt the robots hahahaha. I am such a genius hahaha." Law laughed to himself as all the Sorcerers in the Library looked at him weirdly as if he had turned mad.

He only stopped laughing when the librarian shushed him.

"It would be tough to find the location of these artifacts though. I remember reading about these artifacts on internet in my previous life. Only if I can remember it, it would make all things easier." Law said to himself

Suddenly he got an idea "That's right there should be a spell to make me remember something or scroll through my memory. It's settled after dealing with Dormamu, I am going to get these artifacts and make my sentinels."

Law then looked at the other artifacts in the book. It was quite a big book.

He was shocked to find that the artifacts of legends like Excalibur, Muramasa etc were real. He didn't have any interest in these artifacts though as he had Benihime but he wanted to have a collection of all these weapons and artifacts.

Also he would be allowed to choose two artifacts from the Kamar Taj treasury once he becomes a master. Although he had already mastered Eldritch magic, he still has to learn a few more things and complete a kamar Taj mission to reach master stage.

Next he opened the book about mythical beasts and read about mythical creatures like dragons. The use of the organs of the dragon and blood was also mentioned. The dragon blood was even used by the fingers of Hand to increase their life expectancy.

Finally he opened the book about runes which would be the third thing, he would need to make strong sentinels.

These three things are Runes, Cores/Energy Source and metal/weapons/materials. He has already decided about both weapons and energy sources. Now he would learn about runes to make a perfect Sentinel.
