Chapter 41: Fighting the military (2)

General P.O.V

As soon as Law confirmed that it was safe to rescue the prisoners now, Mystique moved towards the direction of the prison through the sewers.

She had already memorized the entire layout and knew the nearest exit and entry point towards the prison.

She sneakily entered the prison while avoiding the security cameras. She knocked out the remaining two guards guarding the prison before slitting their throats with a knife.

The mutants were then broken out of their prison by her. There were just three alive mutants there right now. They were scared of her seeing that how easily she killed the guards.

She assured them that they would be safe as she let them towards the sewage.

The soldiers who were tasked to watch the mutants from the CCTV were busy watching the battle between Law and the soldiers so they did not see the mutants escaping.

"Surgeon, the prisoners are in the sewage, can you teleport them to the jet?" Mystique asked Law

"Sure" Law who was fighting the military said as he used his observation haki to locate the mutants and he teleported them along with him twice towards the jet as the ROOM range was only 6 km and the jet was 10 kilometres away.

Gambit was left there to explain the situation to the terrified mutants while Law teleported back to fight the military.

Law could have just teleported the mutants directly even from the prison as the range of his ROOM was just too big and covered the entire base. He did not even need Mystique to rescue them but Law thought that if he did that such a pretty lady would start depending on him and his strength and it would not be good for the handsome him as he already had his eyes set on another girl.

He can't go on and let another girl fall in love with him that would be troublesome. After all this is not a fantasy harem world.

'Not that I would mind having a harem. It's every man's fantasy afterall. But I don't think any women would accept the fact in this world.'

His thinking was interrupted by an explosion. He had his body covered with haki so he was fine.

"Wtf. Can't you see I was busy thinking?" Law shouted to the soldiers who were confused at his out burst but kept bombarding him with bullets, missiles and grenades.

"Ugh. I am bored. Let's just get this over with." Law said as he lifted every single person who were firing at him in the air and closed his fist which made the heads of all these soldiers explode.

The captain of the troops and all the other soldiers who were viewing the battle from the control room were flabbergasted. More than that they felt fear.

"How!!?"

"We can't beat him. We will die."

"Is he a God?"

Many of them shouted in fear. They were panicking and were thinking of running away from the base.

"Don't worry. I don't think he would be able to deal with the tanks and the fighter planes/helicopters." The captain said trying to reassure himself more than his subordinates.

"But sir his powers are more powerful than that Magneto guy who managed to deflect dozens of missiles easily. Can we really kill him?" One of the soldiers said in fear

These words even made the captain feel fear and doubt his own words. He had seen the video of magneto deflecting dozen of missiles back to the submarines and ships who fired the missiles.

Meanwhile back at the gate where the battle was going on. Law calmly walked to the gate as he blasted away the door to the base with just a punch.

He saw four tanks waiting for him and three helicopters took off. The snipers took their aim at him and also fired.

"Jeez. Y'all never learn.Hmm, but I needed a helicopter for the company. Frost Internationals will become a giant soon. Emma would love to come on a helicopter to the company every day. Wait, is traveling with helicopter inside the city even legal? Oh well, nothing some mind controlling can't solve" Law muttered to himself

Law decided that he would keep a helicopter safe while he would destroy everything else.

Nodding to himself, he slammed the four tanks into each other. Seeing that it didn't damage the tanks much, he slammed them again and again.

God knows what had become of the ones who were driving the tank.

Next, He pulled out the pilots of the helicopters and dropped them while two of the helicopters without their pilots crashed into the military base.

Law controlled the third one and carefully landed it on the ground. Then he looked at all the sniper locations.

"Time for some shooting practice." He said as he pointed at their locations with his index finger.

'Hado #4: Byakurai'

Lightning shot from his finger eliminating all the snipers.

Next he cleared the remaining soldiers including the captain who all just gave up on their lives after what they have witnessed.

The captain send an encrypted message to Stryker to warn him of this mutant and his strength.

Law after completing his task teleported to where Mystique was.

Mystique was currently with Trask and was tending to him rather ruthlessly.

Trask had most of his fingers nails dug out. Bruises and wounds all over his body which were not deadly and were mostly done to make him feel pain.

He was not surprised seeing this scene as he knew how much Mystique hated people who experimented on mutants.

Law wanted to comment and joke about it but he remained silent knowing that his jokes weren't good for this situation.

'Is this what people call character growth?" Law thought to himself
