Chapter XII: The talk

John went after Hiccup to talk to him, he wanted to see if he could get information from him about the dragon because he wanted to help but he couldn't show up like that or it was here and now or he'll have to go after him and find out for himself

So he hiccuped

John: "Hiccup stay there, don't run"

Hiccup stood pale

John: "Are you going to tell me yes or yes, first because you are running away, second because you took a basket of fish and thank you and I made an excuse for the food that I missed, third because you are very interested in the night furies and forth because you are so pale. It's like you've already been caught doing something bad like the days you and I were mischievous as a kid."

Hiccup: "And...I...."

POV: Hiccup

'I wanted to go make a seat to ride Toothless but now I was trapped I couldn't go anywhere John was here asking me questions and he's one of the smartest here so I think he already knows what's going on but he wants to get it out of me. '

Hiccup: "And...I...."

And I ran out before he said anything else

John: "HICCUP COME BACK HERE"

'I could hear John yelling at me to stop but I won't'

Keep running and I went through the woods so I could lose him if he followed me after a while he would come back to make a mount

POV: John

'Hiccup ran off to the woods for sure to get lost there but I didn't go so I turned around and went home '

Hiccup came back to the blacksmith Forge in the Night and starts making a saddle to ride Toothless.

The next day after some chat in class for the next training and ruining off from John. And went to see Toothless

Hiccup presents Toothless the saddle

Toothless sees this and ran off

Hiccup:" Hey!"

Toothless playfully runs away from Hiccup.

Hiccup rides Toothless but in a miss turn crash into the water and hiccup flys off

Hiccup went back to put some modifications and came back to ride the Toothless and then tugged the prosthetic tail fin with a rope to change its position. The wind blows at them and they tumble backward making Toothless crash into a field of grass and roll in it comfortably.

A Gronckle knock Tuffnut

Tuffnut:" Whoa!"

Hiccup was still holding up some grass but at the Arena and was thinking about what happened to Toothless can happen Tu other Dragons so he came to try

So when the Gronckle came closer he puts it in his nose and the Gronckle stopped and lay down. Everyone sees this because some people came to see the recruits

John came and approached Hiccup from behind and grab him so that he won't run away

John:" Some new tricks you learn from your pet Dragon."

Hiccup:" What no I don't have a pet Dragon."

John:" Hiccup am not blind can see what's happening, going fishing, making a saddle, making a tail, and learning from a dragon's secret.

Look won't tell but a need to make sure your ok and you don't go to a dragon belly."

Hiccup was doubting what to do because of one thing John was known as Dragon Slayer.

John: "I'm not going to kill him, I kill dragons because it's necessary to survive here and you know it, I could even follow you secretly and see where you're hiding and kill him later but I'm not telling you here."

After hesitating a bit he allowed John to go so they were hiding from the boys and arriving where the night fury is.

Hiccup: " Toothless come we have visitors and I brought you fish."

The dragon came out after them and though he didn't trust John at first he got a little closer

John: "Come closer hiccups. I want to teach you a trick."

Hiccup:" Which one?"

John: "Starts scratching all over his body and reaches his neck."

Hiccup starts to do that and the dragon starts to purr and then when Hiccup reaches the neck he falls to the ground

Hiccup: "How did you know that?"

John: "Do you remember the book I gave you? Well, I not only study their wild side but also their domestic side.

I don't want to kill them they are amazing creatures."

Hiccup: "And why do you do it."

John: "Because it is necessary, look your dragon is one of the most intelligent creatures in the world so it knows what is happening and who is a threat while the others attack without thinking as if they were controlled they are also intelligent but not as smart as the night furies. I mean the Vikings have been fighting them for centuries and they don't go away. This is just a theory, I don't know how to confirm it."

Hipp: "We can go like the Night Fury."

John: "NO. I have to keep you safe until your dad comes back and so it will just be practice here."

Hiccup: "ok but only because I lack practice in flying."

John:" Just tell me when you're going to fly"

Hiccup:" Ok"

John:" I'll get going back home see your later."

Hiccup:" Tell Astrid a said hi."

John:" Don't worry I'll tell her that you're asking her for permission for Ashild."

Hiccup:" WAIT NO."

Hiccup ran to catch John and starts walking back to John's House
