Testing my powers
As Meng Xiao infused a strand of holy qi into the sword, a bone-chilling frost air came out.
A thin layer of ice covers her hands and the sword becomes so heavy to lift that Meng Xiao almost drops it. The weight of the sword shot up to 5kg when she only activated one inscription.
"I need to first cultivate my body before I try using the sword," Meng Xiao thought as she went back to her room and analyze her situation.
"Firstly, this body is still too weak. I need to find something to deal with the problem" Meng Xiao thought inwardly.
"Do you have any technique that focuses on strengthening the body?" Meng Xiao asked.
"Here," Zeus said as he transferred a technique to the blazing ice.
"The blazing dragon and ice phoenix
a technique that focuses on strengthening the body. It is a palm technique that I invented. It contains both the power of fire and ice. To use this technique, you need to find something that has strong fire and ice essence. If not, you will die immediately after you start cultivating the technique" Zeus said.
"You say something that is filled with yin and yang, ice and fire essence right?" Meng Xiao asked as she began thinking of a solution.
"Bingo" Meng Xiao said as she tapped her spatial necklace and two beast core of fire and ice elements.
"How can I forget these beast cores? It's time to put them to good use" Meng Xiao said as she smiled brightly.
These beast cores were the beast cores of the duo of elemental wolf brothers that Meng Xiao killed. But because she has not found the need for the beast core, she just stored it in her spatial necklace.
"Good, these beast cores can do the trick, "Zeus said.
"Now, absorb the energy in it and use it to perform the technique, "Zeus said as he directed Meng Xiao.
Meng Xiao sits cross-legged as she places the blazing wolf beast core in her right hand and the white sino wolf beast core in her left hand.
As she started absorbing the powers contained in the beast's core her body became filled to the brim with overwhelming energy but all this lasted for three minutes before it was replaced by discomfort and pain.
The blazing fire that flowed through her meridian and the chilling ice energy caused unbearable pain to her.
Her right body is burning like a furnace and her left body is so cold that most parts have already frozen.
To complete the cultivation, she needs all the fire and ice essence to circulate her body.
The strong heat started to burn her clothes and the chilling air froze her clothes.
As she continued to absorb more energy, the more the amount of pain she suffered.
"I..... Must..... Continue" Meng Xiao said as she heard a loud sound coming from her lower body.
Zeus immediately blocked the impact, the accumulated energy flowed back into the beast's core.
Meng Xiao looks like she just came from the middle of the Yin and Yang the chu mark with one of her right body red due to the heat and the other part frozen. She lay on the bed with her tattered clothes on.
"What did I do wrong?" Meng Xiao asked weakly.
"You have to figure it out yourself," Zeus said with a cold voice.
Her continuous failure is annoying.
"I won't give up," Meng Ciao said as she sat up again, this time no matter the pains she must overcome.
She has found her mistake, when the pains start to become too much, she lessens her effort but at the same time strikes harder.
Holding the beast cores in her hands, Meng Xiao begins absorbing the energy in them.
As usual, at first, she felt filled with energy but later the pain started. The pain was so unbearable that Meng Xiao grits her teeth and tightened her grip on the beast's cores.
After an hour, the bright light in the beast cores starts to dim and the bustling energy fades.
"Almost..... There" Meng Xiao said as her meridian shone with multicoloured light.
Her clothes have been burnt and now her naked body lay on the bed.
Most of her sweat has evaporated due to the heat of the fire and some have turned into layers of thin ice.
She just went through the torture of fire and ice.
"Boom" A loud noise was heard and Meng Xiao Meridian was shaken.
The overwhelming pain is now replaced by comfort and her body brims with powers.
Finally, I have absorbed it and now I feel my body tougher.
"Contain the energy in your body for at least an hour. Let it familiarize itself in your body" Zeus said.
"Ok," Meng Xiao said as she got up.
She went to her bathroom and filled the bathtub with water.
"Shhhhhh" A noise is heard. Due to her high body temperature, the moment she stepped into the bathtub, a quarter of the water evaporated and the remaining became hot.
Meng Xiao began bathing, and even though the sweat had evaporated, the stench was still left on her body.
After an hour, Meng Xiao is refreshed and has changed her dress into a black robe.
"Now let your first marital technique," Zeus said.
"Ok," Meng Xiao said.
She is now outside her room but still in her courtyard with a rock in her front.
"Now use the technique to unleash part of your accumulated energy," Zeus said teaching Meng Xiao what to do.
"Channel the powers of the fire and ice essence, let it flow through your meridian and come out from your palm"
