chapter nine

Thea drew several creatures, even the one of the hand that clutched the girl and pulled her top half through a small rectangular window. The details of the metal bending from the large hands girth, she glances over to Len and Ari who remembers what they seen and are impressed with Theas skills.

(" they are lucky it wasn't one of them") Thea thought to herself, Evelyn looked through the drawings and stops on one that had over a dozen arms and legs attached to it, making it look like a centipede made of human parts.

" this—this is very detailed, these things seem unbeatable and I know we need to find out the best way to fight" Evelyn said, she looked at another drawing of a creature and how it reminded her of stories that would describe demons she use to read.

" this one is blind, its like it never even had eyes to begin with, this one that has the horns or bones growing out of its head and torso is scary. What this one reminds me of is a oversized great dane that's been pulled inside out" Evelyn said while handing the papers to her father, Lillian grabs her hand and intertwines their fingers.

" those things took out two dozen swat officers, I ran into one that was with a group of survivors and they refused to follow me back to find Ari. The janitor was injured, he was looking ragged, the picture that Thea drew of him.... I dont know how to explain someone that looks um healthy and fit, to sickly and twenty years older." Lillian said while pointing to the picture of the janitor with some of the survivors from the stair well. Ari walks over lifting the drawings, she points at two of Rick and a woman on the floor and Thea captured every detail.

Len quietly got up from her seat, she exited the dining hall and goes to a window in the main room. Her thougts kept going to her mothers car, she is scared that something happened to her family. A tear runs down her cheek, she quickly wipes it away, Thea stood up making her way over to Len and Taylor quickly raises to his feet a rushing by Thea. She rolls her eyes walking up behind him to Len, Ari was walking round the table to go to her, but the other two had the same thought so she stopped then looked around at the monitors they had set up in every room of the inside and outside.

" Ari just walk over to check on her" Lillian said with a smirk, Evelyn looks at them both confused and then she realized that Ari likes the blonde beauty and she looked at all the women here now biting that they are all pretty.

Evelyn held Lillian's hand with a playing smirk that her wife had looking at her sister, but then she thought about Ari's ex or whatever she is.

" what am I missing here" Evelyn said with a concerned look at her, Lillian stands up beside Evelyn then side hugs her. Ari stares in Lens direction to see that Taylor hugs her for a minute and Len shrugs him off after a minute. Thea grabs her hand and leads her upstairs, Ashley watched the two girls with a frown on her face that Ari noticed.

" well at least we know what were dealing with, the swat had no idea what they were up against and the human centipede seemed sneaky.....it even snuck up on Ari without her knowing and ate the asshat. The strength that they possess is what's concerning, we need to come up with effective ways to take them out without getting to close." Lillian said

Jack sat there listening to his daughter, he pulls out a notebook and looks over at Evelyn's father Alan and they both have a nervous look in their eyes.

" well Alan we need to make plans, we also need to put a group together and get as much supplies as we can, Your the chief of police so I know you have a good idea on weapons, will need stronger ones and alot more ammo. We will also collect fuel, chemicals, and some sturdy metal. We have the junk yard out back, I have a good idea for the rebars and we need more for the peremitor fence.... The electric won't be much harm for these things and Evelyn research all the things you pulled up on these things." Jack said while Alan and him exit into the machine shop off of the dining room.

" we might need to get farther from the city, we'll work on our caravans as well " Alan said as Jack agreed when they went out the door.
