The Darkling Encounter

Neither Xander nor Leena had ever encountered a Darkling before. Seeing the notification flash on their system panel, they turned to Master Arwin for the answers.

"What do you know about Darklings?" Xander asked. 

"I have never had the chance to duel one in the Nightscape, but the ancient Dreamwalker texts say they dwell in the shadowy planes just above the infernal realm and hunt prey for sport. Some claim these creatures were once elves, but their minds were corrupted by the Infernals. And Elder Darklings sit on top of the Darkling hierarchy because they are the ascended ones blessed by the Dark Lords. That's all the books mention."

"Does it have any weaknesses we can exploit?" Xander asked.

Master Arwin shook his head. "The texts do not talk about any vulnerabilities or mention any of their abilities or powers."
