I struggled to recover my breath, my throat and body aching from the ordeal I had just been pushed through. Luc held my hand in his, his grip tight and worried as I struggled to move. Bellas merely smiled as he watched me, pleased with whatever he saw.

"I will never get used to it," Minn sighed, and I managed to move my head to see her as I panted. She waved her hand over my bile, cleaning the floor as she shook her head. "We need to stop Adam this time, I can't bear to keep upholding his lies."
