Great Sages Gambit

Earlier on

"Hmmmm…. This isn't any good, that rising star in the monster world is rapidly getting stronger by the day, so he will become a genuine threat to mortalkind soon enough." He pondered as he ascended his tower, the tower itself was the central point of the Holy Grove of Vaticino along with the Tree of Life that the hero's were currently being healed under.

Being known as The Greatest Sage in all of Mortal history it was very easy for Merlin to request his tower to be allowed to move to the Sacred Grove as it was a mobile tower that can be summoned at his whim to wherever he actually is.

Not only was it his workshop but a great central focusing point to allow him to view and pinpoint anyone or anything around the world.

In his younger years when he was first starting out on his path and didn't have the fame he is known for today he actually used this tower to help people locate things of importance for them, mostly for free for the sick and poor but charged a high price to help the rich and nobility of the continent.

Now it was rarely if ever used for that and mostly for those who really needed it now, beside that it was the place where he and his 9 disciples casted the Monster Curse not on just the continent but the entire world, but as a result of that Merlin has been recovering for several years as it was the first time in his long life where he depleted his Mana pool so throughly that he almost crippled himself as a mage as a result.

But with the aid of his tower and the Tree of Life he was able to recover although he only woke back up recently after the DemonKing was defeated by the hero and his party who are still recovering under his watch.

After hearing of there sucess he was happy for them but soon his mood became melancholic as two of his disciples along with the rest of heros party were so heavily injured that they were on deaths door had Tatsumaki, The Mage of Space and Gravity, not cut open a portal with what little energy she had left for the party to be brought directly to the Holy City and the entrance to the Sacred Grove it was more than likely they would have all died to kill the DemonKing.

So it was his job to watch over them and make sure they heal properly, but as the Great Sage and a teacher, he needed to lessen the burden of his students to the best of his abilities.

First was that he created massive whirlpools that separated Terra, the continent that they all live on, from the Continents of the Far East, making travel between Terra to the East and From the East to Terra near impossible, he wanted to do it to the west and cut off Terra but he can only use so much energy and he needs to help heal his students so he decided not to, plus the Norse barbarians of Fenigir to the Brutal North can be the deterrent we need.

Because of what he done he had stopped an invasion from the kingdom of pirate kingdom coming here across The Great Blue to attack Terra, them plus the Norse and Amazons would put to much strain on the Mortal Kingdoms that call Terra their home.

"Now onto you little guy, sorry to say but getting you out of the way will be a benefit for mortalkind." He says to himself as he reached the highest point in his tower before standing in the center.

"Calculating the coordinates, northwestern border region of The Great Forest, Dragonia and the Demon Lands." He said as multiple Magic circles upon magic circles appeared around him before the world map in this room shined a light on the exact coordinates of where the newest Monster King is.

{Coordinates set, beginning Magic Projection now} a voice echoed out from within the tower, this is the Second Administrator of the tower, a homunculus created by him known as Vivian.

(N) Vivian is the name of the only woman that Merlin ever lived in Arthurian legend, though let's just say she didn't love him back and used his magic against him to trap him in a block of unmeltable ice forever, at least in one of the legends I believe others she did something else but in all of the their relationship didn't end well.

He sat down on the floor as he crossed his legs with his staff in hand as he closed his eyes as his spirit projected out from his body before his soul was near instantly transported to where the coordinates were located as they began to manifest around the Monster King.

"Sorry little guy, but this world doesn't need more Monster Kings." He says as the runes meant to block interference are summoned as he manifest before the young Monster King.

He could see the Monster King, or better known as a Goblin King, was sweating buckets in his presence as he had a hard time even looking up at him, "The….. Great Sage…. Of Mortalkind…." Is all the Goblin King could say.

He nodded, "Yes, Now Goodbye Monster King." She said before he extended his staff and was about to touch him to erase him from existence but-

Suddenly the world, lost its color, and the Great Sage, who was conscious, couldn't move!

"What is….. this….?" He could barely speak as he slowly realized what was happening due to his halted movements.

"Time…. Stopped? But…. How?" Time stop wasn't an unfamiliar subject to him as he could also stop Time briefly for a few seconds at most, but not something to this level.

"My my, I wouldn't think that the Great Sage who cursed all of my children would dare to personally go after my own son like this." He heard a woman's voice say to him as a bright green light appeared before him.

"…. Terra, Mother of Monsters…." Is all Merlin could say as he really just picked up the rock only to drop it on his own foot in this situation.

"You have gone far enough Sage, I didn't stop you back then because I was still creating my perfect son for the last several hundred years so you were only able to do that because of that, but now I can exact my vengeance on the one who harmed them!" She shouted out before she sent a powerful wave of energy right towards him, where he could move just enough to set up a strong defensive spell was it was rapidly breaking.

"Vivian…. Some help…. Ugh would be nice!" He shouted out as he was barely able to hold out against a true divine spirit that isn't much different from a real god in the eyes of mortals.

{Shifting outside of the bounds, ERROR large time dilation and magical interference detected, Magical Rebound Force initiating}

"GUHKAH!…. Damn….. the rebound ripped apart my insides…. Couldn't kill him but do- *Cough Cough* Doesn't matter, that field permanently reformed the curse on his body, even if sex doesn't kill him, he will never have a prince, and there will be no more Monster Kings…. Vivian, activate Avalon…. I'm going to rest for a long time…." He said before he slumped over and lost consciousness from his wound from the fight between him and The Great Spirit Terra.

Back in the Oni Village.

"….Ugh…. What happened?" I say as I slowly pull myself up as I look at the room that's in shambles from whatever the hell just happened.

"Ugh…. I don't feel right…. Hmmm?" I say before I look at my system do see something printed on my status in very Dark Red.
