--In Eggman's Lair --

"That blue rat won this time as well!! Even my greatest inventions and robots couldn't get rid of that pest and his friends!!!!" Eggman shouted and accidently kicked on the table.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" he grabbed his toe and started jumping by one leg.

Orbot and Cubot looked at eachother then looked back at Eggman.

"HAHH!! I GIVE UP!!!" shouted Eggman and sat on the couch.

Orbot's and Cubot's eyes widened and went near Eggman.

"Dr. Eggman, don't say that. You can still defeat Sonic and his friends." said Orbot.

Eggman just groaned and turned on the T.V.

"Dr. Eggman, please don't give up. Your inventions weren't that bad." said Orbot again.

Eggman sighed.

Meanwhile with Sonic and his friends. . .

SONIC'S POV

After the lunch, we started to head home. I had picked up Sonica. Ahem ahem. Don't think too much, readers. Anyways...

On the way back home, we were just talking and cracking jokes. But Sonica fell asleep. I looked down at her.

"She looks cute." I thought to myself with a slight smirk was on my face.

Without thinking about anything else, I leaned down and gently kissed her forehead.

Just then, Tails and Sticks cleared their throat. My eyes widened a bit. Did they see it?!! I looked at Tails and Sticks. They had a smirk on their faces. No one else saw that except they two. I started to blush.

"It-Its not what you think guys!" I said.

They chuckled.

I was so embarrassed...

"We won't tell anyone about this." whispered Tails.

"Its not like that!! I-I-" I couldn't find any words to say.

Tails and Sticks just chuckled.

Oh, Man! I wanted to disappear from here.

Just then, I felt a raindrop on my cheek.

"It is going to rain now. Let's go under that tree." I said while looking at a tree.

They nodded and we went under the tree. As expected, it started to rain. I sighed and sat down, crossing my legs and so did others. Sonica was still in my arms, on my lap. We waited but the rain just wouldn't stop!

I yawned and soon fell asleep while it was still raining.

SONICA'S POV

It's raining heavily...

Lighting and thunder striking in the sky...

Then I heard someone turning on the chainsaw.

"Key!!"

A tree fell down over me.

"No!!" I woke up, panting.

Just then Sonic woke up, "W-Wha- Sonica?"

"Key..." I whispered to myself.

"Sonica, are you okay?" he asked.

"Y-Yeah, I just had a...bad dream." I looked down.

"Oh..." said Sonic.

I sighed. Then, Sonic gently placed me down next to him.

It was still raining, I looked at the rain. But I felt the rain very peaceful.

I sighed again. Key, I hope you are fine...

- After a while -

The rain stopped.

"Time to go home!!" said Amy. We nodded.

I took the support of a tree and tried to stand up.

Sonic sighed.

"I-I can walk." I said and tried to walk but my legs didn't support me at all.

I sighed and he picked me up again. I heard Tails and Sticks chuckling. We continued walking home.

But the way was way too slippery and muddy due to the rain.

"Whoaa!!" Knuckles slipped but he quickly held a tree.

"That was a close one." added Tails.

"Walk carefully guys. Its too slippery." said Amy and walked cautiously.

Knuckles, Tails and Sticks walked behind Amy. Now, it was Sonic's turn. He slowly took a step ahead.

He took another step and said "Hm, guess it isn't that sli- Whoaa!!"

He slipped, I fell on my back while he fell on top of me. Our eyes widened, our faces were just inches apart. My cheeks turned red and so did his. Everyone turned back and looked at us.

"Now that was a close one!" Sticks said and Tails started laughing.

Sonic quickly got off of me and said, "I am so so sorry."

He slowly picked me up again, his ears were bent down. I didn't say anything and just looked away.

He sighed. "L-Lets go, n-now."

He hesitated a bit and started walking again, but this time very cautiously. He walked ahead of everyone. I looked back a little just to see Tails and Sticks chuckling. I looked at Sonic. He looked down at me. I quickly looked away again.

- Time skip -

We finally reached the village. I and Sonic sighed in relief.

"Let's go to our respective homes now." said Tails.

We nodded. Then, Amy, Knuckles, Tails and Sticks said 'bye' to us and walked away. Sonic sighed and started walking home.

Within a few minutes we were home. He walked to my doorstep while carrying me. Just then, I heard a chainsaw turning on and off. My eyes widened.

"No..It can't be.." I whispered under my breath.

"What is it, Sonica?" he asked.

"Sonic! Take me behind my house! Quick!!" I shouted.

He nodded and ran to the forest behind my house.

"Why won't this thing work?" I heard someone say.

We reached near Key and as I thought two people were about to cut Key! They turned the chainsaw on.

"Noooo!!!" I shouted.

They stopped and looked at us.

"Don't you dare touch that tree!" I growled.

Sonic's eyes widened a bit.

The two of them laughed and said, "What will you do, little hedgehog?" I growled.

"Sonic! look there! What is that?" I pointed somewhere and he looked there.

I quickly snapped my fingers then a few vines grew from the ground and they got wrapped around their mouth, hands and legs. Yes, they were shocked. Then, Key quickly grabbed them by its branch and lifted them up in the air.

"There is nothing, Sonica." said Sonic and looked at me. "Wait, where did they go?" he asked.

"They realized that the should not cut this tree and went home." I replied.

"Really?" he asked again.

I nodded, "Mhm."

Sonic shrugged and started to walk home.

Actually, they were up in the air. After I and Sonic were gone, Key placed them down. Key patted their heads and removed the vines from their hands, legs and lastly mouth. They were shaking in fear.

"AHHH!!!" they yelled and quickly ran away.

"What was that? I heard someone yelling." said Sonic.

We were just infront of my house.

I bit my bottom lip, "Um...It wa-"

"Sonic!!" a green hedgehog said cheerfully and a pink hedgehog was standing by his side.

"Manic? Sonia?" Sonic asked, a bit surprised.

The green hedgehog i.e Manic's quills were shaggier than Sonic's. He was wearing orange vest, black spiked wristbands and an orange fanny-pack. To be honest, he looked like a thief to me... The pink one i.e Sonia was wearing purple gloves unlike us. But she looked a bit bossy.

Wait.. I don't even know them. Why am I thinking like that?

Manic looked at me and smirked.

"Who is she?" he asked.

"She is Sonica. She is a bit injured. Sonica, meet my brother Manic and sister Sonia." said Sonic while looking down at me.

I nodded slowly.

"You must be tired bro, let me help you." said Manic.

"No, I-" Sonic got cut off by Manic.

"Its okay, bro. I won't hurt her." said Manic and took me in his arms.

I growled at him. Am I a doll to you guys?

He smirked at me and said, "Cutie."

I growled again and clenched my fists. I swear if I wasn't injured, I would kill this green pest!

But he still had a smirk on his face.

Sonic crossed his arms and said, "Okay, Get in now."

They nodded and walked in.

"I want to go to my house." I growled.

"Come on, stay with us for a while, cutie." said Manic with a smirk.

I looked at Sonic, he just rolled his eyes. I sighed. Then, Manic slowly placed me on the hammock.

"Lets come to the point. Why did you guys come here?" asked Sonic.

"Mother said that she misses you. She told us to meet you and see if you are fine or not." replied Sonia.

"As you can see, I am completely fine. So you can go now." said Sonic.

"Aw, bro, don't say that. We want to see this village." said Manic while spinning a ring on his finger.

Wait! That ring!!! I looked at my wrists and ankles and one of them was missing. I started to panic a little.. "G-Give my ring back!" I said.

"Oh, this little thing?" he said while looking the ring.

"G-Give it back!" I said again.

He smirked.

My powers might show up!! I have to keel myself calm..

Then, Sonic snatched the ring from Manic and brought it to me.

"T-Thankyou.." I said quietly.

He smiled and put the ring back in my ankle. Manic had a slight smirk on his face.

"You haven't changed yet." said Sonic and crossed his arms.

"I can't help it, bro. I am sorry." said Manic.

Sonic sighed.

"Sonica, right? Well, tell us about yourself." said Sonia.

"Then we will tell you about us." added Manic and took a step towards me but Sonic quickly stood in the middle.

"As you know, her name is Sonica. She is a hedgehog. She can run fast like me. She is also new here. Her favourite colour is bl-" Sonic quickly covered his mouth.

Manic cleared his throat and said, "Bro, okay. We get it."

Then, Sonia went towards Sonica and said, "Now, we will tell you about us."

2 minutes later. . .

"So you all are from a royal family?" I said, not so surprised.

They nodded.

"So, I guess you had a great luxurious childhood." I said again.

Manic and Sonic rolled their eyes and looked at Sonia.

Sonia just groaned.

"Well, only she was the lucky one. We two were raised somewhere else." said Manic.

Sonic just nodded.

"At least you still have a mother and a family." I said while looking down.

"What do you mean, Sonica?" asked Sonia. "Nothing.." I looked down.

Then they realized what I meant.

"I-I.." Sonia got off by Sonic.

"Y-You guys wanted to see the village, right? Lets go then." he said a bit hesitatingly.

"Yeah, sure, bro. Lets go." said Manic.

"I want to go my home." I said.

Sonic smiled at me, "Oka-"

Manic cut him off. "Sure, you little thing." he said and picked me up with a smirk.

I growled.

Then, we all went outside.

"That's her house." said Sonic while crossing his arms.

Manic walked to the doorstep of my house. Sonic quickly came and opened the door. He walked in and placed me on my couch.

"Your house is better then Sonic's shack." said Manic.

Sonic rolled his eyes and said, "Ok, time to go. See you soon, Sonica. Take care of yourself."

I nodded slowly and he walked out.

"Anyways, Sonica we are here for you. Friends are like a family." whispered Manic and he walked outside.

I sighed and lied down on the couch.

"Friends...Family... Well, I will be perfectly fine tomorrow morning...it had been only 5 hours I guess... " I thought to myself and yawned. Then I fell asleep on the couch.

SONIC'S POV

"Why did I feel like this?! Was I jealous?! Nope. Not at all. I-I don't care what he does to Sonica. I am not jealous. No. Nah. Nope." I thought to myself and facepalmed.

"Bro, I have to ask you something." said Manic with a smirk.

"What?" I crossed my arms.

"Do you like...you know..." he smirked.

"NO!! I-I don't!! I absolutely don't!!" I shouted.

Why was I blushing?! Sonia and Manic looked at eachother then looked at me with a smirk on their faces.

Then, Manic picked up the volleyball and said, "Bro, I was talking about volleyball..." He smirked and whispered in my ear, "not about Sonica..."

My eyes widened and my cheeks turned red.

He nudged me by the elbow teasingly. I had no idea what to say. I was still blushing.

"W-Whatever." I said and looked away while crossing my arms.

"Its okay bro. I was just messing with ya." Manic chuckled.

I didn't say anything.

Then Sonia said, "Its time to head home now. Mother said to be back before sun sets." Manic nodded.

"Wait, did you say before that you want to see the village?" I asked.

Manic cleared his throat and said, "I said that so that you would not kick us out of your shack."

I shrugged and said, "Very well."

Then, Sonia and Manic hugged me and said, " We will miss you, brother."

I sighed and said, "I will miss you too, guys and tell mom, I love her and I miss her too."

"You don't love Sonica?" Manic whispered in my ear.

My face flushed red. "STOP IT!!!" I yelled.

He chuckled and said, "Okay, bro. Relax."

"Bye, Sonic. Take care, brother." said Sonia and got on her bike.

Manic did a two-finger salute and got the bike behind her.

"Bye brother/brooo!!" They said together and Sonia rode the bike.

Manic waved at me.

I waved back and shouted, "Tell mom I miss her!"

"Okay bro!! We will be back soon!!" shouted back Manic and soon they were gone...

I sighed and went back in my shack.

I lied down on the hammock. "Why does everyone think that I like Soni- Even I am not sure of my feelings myself..." I thought to myself and sighed again. Then, I closed my eyes and yawned.

-- In Eggman's Lair --

Eggman was snoring in the couch, the T.V was still on. Orbot turned off the T.V and looked at Cubot.

"We have to do something. We can't let Dr. Eggman give up." said Orbot.

"You are right but what can we do?" asked Cubot.

"I don't know. Let's think." said Orbot.

"Good idea." said Cubot and they both started thinking.

- Few minutes later -

"Maybe we should cheer him up." suggested Orbot.

"Do I look like a cheerleader to you?!" said Cubot.

"No. I was talking about something else. Do you know what tomorrow is?" asked Orbot.

"Hmmmmmmm, no." replied Cubot.

"Tomorrow is _____ (you will know in next chapter) " said Orbot.

"Oh..I didn't know that." said Cubot.

Orbot facepalmed and said, "So, as tomorrow is _____, we will _________ (you will know in next part). In this way, Dr. Eggman may cheer up a little and give up giving up." said Orbot.

Cubot gave a thumbs up.

"We have to get everything ready and call others too." said Orbot again.

"Aye Aye, Captain!" saluted Cubot.
