General P.O.V

Yoriichi and his friends reached the waiting area for the participants.

Everyone looked at them and started gossiping and whispering among each other.

"That's him the Uzukage's grandson, one of the favourites to win the tournament." One of them said

"That's Kaito and Chino, with their Kekkei Genkai of Crystal release and ketsurgyan. They also stand a very good chance at winning this."

"The Yuki clan head's daughter Ayaka Yuki, and one of Yuki clans elder son, Chikao Yuki can also win it." came another voice.

"True, Chikao and Ayaka's mastery with Ice release are on another level."

"Benjiro Uzumaki with his fuinjutsu mastery and Hiromi Uzumaki from the healing branch of the Uzumaki clan are also going to be tough competitors."

"Don't count the Kurama clan and Chinoike clan participants out. The son of Chinoike's clan patriarch, Kin Chinoike is a ruthless one. Yoriichi hearing all this got excited for a tough tournament.

They decided to meet up with Kaito but they couldn't find him. After some time, they found him sleeping in a corner of the room.

----Meanwhile at the arena one after another big figures entered the arena and made their way to their seats.---

The first ones to come were the Damiyos from the Land of fire, Water, Lightning, Waterfall, Woods and land of Hot water.

The Damiyo from the land of Whirlpools welcomed them with the Uzukage and his three S-rank shinobi from Uzumaki clan, Yuriko Uzumaki of the swift release, Hatsu Uzumaki of steel release and Genkai Uzumaki of Dark release (Shade release).

The other clan heads from Uzushiogakure had already taken their place in the stands after a loud cheer from the crowd. The clan heads of Yuki, Eizen, Chinoike, Kurama, Hoshikagi and all three heads of the Uzumaki clan from the three branches including Haru Uzumaki were present.

Then there was a large uproar as the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju in his Hokage attire along with his wife Mito Uzumaki and Tobirama Senju entered the arena.

People started shouting and Hashirama being Hashirama started waving at them with Tobirama giving him a disapproving look.

Tobirama's students Danzo Shimura, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Homura Mitokado, Koharu Utahane, Kagami Uchiha and Torifu Akimichi were following them along with Clan heads of Hyuga, Uchiha, Ino-shika-Cho, and Hatake clans.

"My daughter, Come here and give this old man a hug." Ashira Uzumaki, the Uzukage said as he hugged Mito.

"Father, I am also here." Hashirama said while pointing to himself.

"Oh so you have also come wood pecking bastard, go take your seat, don't let the crowd wait."Ashira said

Hashirama started walking to his seat with a gloomy look. The other people also greeted the Uzukage and walked to their seats.

There was another uproar as representatives from Kumo and Kirigakure came. They were clan head of Storm release clan, Kingaku and Ginkaku from Kumo. And from Mist, Hozuki's clan head had only come.

Arashi did not even bother to greet them and let the Damiyo greet them.

Next, The first Tsuchikage, Ishikawa Kamizuru along with Mû of dust release and his disciple Onoki entered the arena.

Another uproar was there, not for the Tsuchikage but for Mû who was known as the only shinobi with a Kekkei tota.

The last uproar was when the first Kazekage, Reto came with his two disciples Chiyo and Ebizo.

Everyone greeted each other and went to their respective seats.

The Uzukage stood in front of his seat at the very top.

"Today, We have come together not just to see the Young generation of Uzushiogakure fight but also as a symbol of friendship between all the shinobi villages. It has been more than two decades since the warring states period ended and there has been peace in the Shinobi world. We hope that this peace continues."

"Today, 32 academy students for the very first time will compete against each other to become a Shinobi. These students were the best of the year and have proved themselves superior against the other kids in the academy. It's time for these buds to blossom into beautiful flowers. It's a very proud movement for the village so make sure to cheer these young ones."

"I have some words for the participants too."

"Great moments are born from great opportunities. And that's what you have here, tonight, kids. That's what you've earned here tonight. You were born to be Shinobis. Every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Our time will be over soon and you will take it from us. The last thing I would like to say is don't limit your challenges, challenge your limits."

A huge uproar and clapping was there from the crowd.

"Those who impress the judges who are all experienced shinobi will be allowed to become a Shinobi. This doesn't mean those who lose the first round won't be able to become a Shinobi, they would still be able to become a Shinobi if they impress the judges."

"Genkai Uzumaki will be the proctor for the exam. If he feels that a participant is not able to battle further or his life is in danger or a participant is using unfair means to win the battle, he is allowed to step up and declare the winner."

Genkai entered the arena.

"I hope you young ones will make the village proud. Let the tournament begin!" said the Uzukage.

There was a huge uproar as he said that.

Genkai said "The first round battles have been decided by random lots. The rules are simple: You are allowed to use any weapons. If a person gives up, the other person should abort from his attack or he will be disqualified. No killing is allowed. Accidents can happen but I would step up if I deem the situation necessary."

"The first battle is between Yoriichi Uzumaki and Fuji Yuki. Participants please come to the stage."
