A Glimpse Into The Future

As Aylin walked towards the duke's study, she couldn't help but wonder what he wanted from her. Though she was happy he took her away from that very forward guy who may even ask for her hand in marriage if she hadn't left. And his sister, Aylin couldn't forget how there was a shift in her demeanor when Rhea introduced Aylin as her best friend. She wished they wouldn't be staying long and would leave the next day after the banquet. 

Aylin wished for this, but sometimes, some wishes don't get granted. 

Inside Kian's study, Aylin stood in front of his desk as he sat doing something on it.

Aylin looked down and tucked her hair behind her ear, "Why did you call me here?" she said, trying to copy what those meek and shy girls usually do in dramas.

Aylin grinned internally.
