CHAPTER 16 – THE REASON FOR DIGLETT CAVE (Fixed)

*Note: I have to say that i'll upload four chapters today because i can´t write until Monday, so i'll give you one chapter for today, tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday, i have to do four exams so i can't write, but i'll be back this Monday with a great surprise that i think that all of you will like, I'll see you on Monday, bye ;)

In the previous chapter we see how our heroes are rejected by the LT. Surge arises because they did not possess the minimum amount of Pokémon to challenge him, however, they reached an agreement, our heroes had to help his friend, Professor Turo with an investigation that would last two days and, in return, he would turn a blind eye to the amount of Pokémon he could use, but luckily for the 3, Professor Turo, a native of Paldea, had three initials to whom he was looking for a good coach, who turned out to be our three heroes.

It had been about 2 hours since our meeting with Professor Turo and his delivery of initials, now, Sprigatito was on my right shoulder while Pikachu was on the left, the reason? Simple, with Sprigatito I did not have a story like with my other Pokémon and I wanted to deepenties with him or her, I really did not know the genre, as for the initial two golds, they had fun in the arms of their now, trainers.

But back to the subject, after this nice gift, Professor Turo settled in the LT Surge's house. It emerges, which to tell the truth was a huge house, not a mansion, but almost, in fact even had some maids.

We weren't there long, just long enough for Professor Turo to drop off his suitcase and then head back to his true destination, Diglett Cave, of course, in the LT Surge's car. It emerges, which was an all-rounder, quite cliché coming from a guy like that, don't you think?

"Yes, but it's just a Cave inhabited by many Diglett, I don't see the interesting thing, actually, I find it super boring" – Nancy said.

"Hey Nancy, don't say that..." – I said quietly.

"No, nothing happens, it's normal, if it wasn't me, I would also be taken for crazy, you see, among all the earth-type Pokémon and those that inhabit the caves, why the Diglett Cave is only inhabited by Diglett and Dugtrio, why there are no other Pokémon like Geodude, Boldore or even Zubat as would be normal, didn't you ask yourselves that question?" – replied the Professor with a smile.

To tell the truth, not only did he not seem offended, but he seemed glad that we brought up that topic, as if he was waiting to give the answer he had just given, of course, this is just intuition.

But he had a point, it was true what he said, why only the Digletts live there, what is special about that Cave?

"I see, I guess that's what he came to find out" - Verity nodded.

"That's right, unfortunately I only have two days because I already have an engagement in Sinnoh, but when I finish it I will continue researching, I like Kanto and there are some mysteries that I would like to investigate" – explained the Professor.

"This... sorry for saying such an inappropriate comment" – Nancy apologized suddenly.

"Nothing happens, it is logical to have doubts, I did not take it badly, in fact, I even liked that you said that, so I could explain why" - said the Professor without giving importance.

Then he started talking to the LT. Surge It arises about something.

"Do you think there's really a why in all this?" - asked Nancy.

"Well, it's true that it's strange" – Verity nodded.

"Verity is right, and even if you get bored it's only two days, although Verity and I have 4 Pokémon each, you have three, it will be good for you to fulfill this promise, besides we can no longer turn back, she even gave us these little ones" – I said looking at Sprigatito.

The girls also looked at their respective initials and nodded.

"You're right" - Nancy nodded.

"We have to keep our word after all" - Verity agreed.

Within a few minutes, the Professor stopped talking to his colleague and looked at us.

"Well, basically your job will be to protect me if things get ugly" – explained the Professor.

Then, we entered the Diglett Cave, which, indeed, was completely full of Diglett and Dugtrio who went from here to there, the good thing is that they did not seem hostile to humans, maybe they got used to their presence since some trainers enter here to catch a Diglett or a Dugtrio, maybe that's why they just got used to it.

We kept going into Diglett Cave and didn't really see too much, the only notable thing we saw was like... They carried provisions to their burrow, let's set the record straight, in this world there are no animals, so the meat comes from where it comes from, and, obviously the prey of those Diglett and Dugtrio were dead Pokémon, I will not go into details and leave it there.

"So they go out of the Cave to look for their prey and then go back to what seems to be their burrow, is the whole Cave their burrow or is there something else?" – wondered the Professor.

Soon we discovered that, indeed, there was something else, because without them noticing, we followed the Dugtrios only to observe that, indeed, the food was taken to a kind of burrow, the hole was huge and a person could fit perfectly if he proposed it.

"Perfect, I supposed, but today we will leave it here, if we are going to go there, I have to make some preparations before" – sighed the Professor.

Some will say things like, "Are they leaving so soon? They were barely inside the cave, because they are wrong, we were like 4 hours touring the cave, that's right, that's how big it was, the reason why it seems like a short time is because we did not find anything interesting to emphasize except for what I already said, then, why bore if you can summarize the most interesting thing that happened? That's the concept.

After returning to the surface, the LT. Surge said that tomorrow at the same time as today, he would pick us up to continue investigating the Cave with the Professor, the good thing is that it was early, so we could enjoy a nice day and even some battles, Nancy won two fights, Verity another two and I was finishing the first against a Lapras.

"Sprigatito, use Leafage!" – I ordered.

"Water Gun" – said the trainer.

But unfortunately for him, Sprigatito won the clash between both attacks and Lapras fell to the ground weakened.

That's right, today we train our new Pokémon with the hope of strengthening them for the Gym because the day after tomorrow was finally the day we were going to get our third Gym medal, maybe we should stop the rhythm a little, after this medal we will take a few weeks off to train.

After training with some trainers, we spent our day as a couple, that is, we went on a date the three of us and obviously there were some kisses along the way, it didn't matter how many kisses we gave each other because I never got bored, in fact, I liked it more and more and, seeing the expression of the girls and the frequency with which they asked for them, They also liked kissing more.

The day passed quickly and soon it was time to go to bed, as tomorrow we had to get up early, we had sex only for a while and then fell asleep.

After a nice breakfast we left the Pokemon Center only to realize that the LT. Surge was already waiting outside with the car.

"Perfect, just in time, come, get in the car" – urged the LT. Arises.

Some strange glances were directed at him, maybe because an older man invited some teenagers to get into his car, but he didn't care and we got on.

"By the way, do you want some cookies? I have back there, if they haven't had breakfast, I don't mind giving you a few" - he said.

"No, we have already had breakfast, in fact, today's breakfast was one of the most delicious and besides, I am full" – Nancy refused.

"Especially if you eat 4 servings..." – I said.

"Did you say anything my boyfriend?" – Nancy said with the face of few friends.

"N-No, I just said you're right, breakfast was delicious today" – I nervously denied.

Basically the rest of the way was quiet and, soon we arrived at our destination, where the Professor was waiting.

"Ready to discover one of Kanto's greatest mysteries?" – the Professor asked with emotion.

"Yes" – the three of us said.

After that, we entered the Cave again, the good thing is that, as we already knew it is on the way to the burrow, it did not take long to arrive, the bad thing is that we had to wait about half an hour because the place was surrounded by Diglett and Dugtrio.

After they left and being very careful not to make noise, we went into the burrow, it was basically full of tunnels, but there was a huge one.

"What kind of Pokémon did that?" asked Verity, somewhat nervously.

"I don't know, but I can't wait to find out," said the Professor.

And, fearlessly he went down the burrow followed by all of us.

The road did not last long but what we saw when we arrived left us speechless, to begin with there was a huge space and second, a huge Dugtrio of about 7 meters and with stigmata on the body lay there, tied with chains that were dimly lit yellow and around numerous Diglett and Dugtrio who did not seem to want to approach.

"That's...?" - asked Nancy in surprise.

"A huge Dugtrio, is this some kind of beehive?" – I said with my eyes wide open.

"So basically the Diglett and Dugtrio have a kind of queen like the Combee and the Vespiqueen, interesting, super interesting" – said the Professor writing something in a notebook.

"But there is something strange, what is that chain that binds him and why don't the Diglett and Dugtrio come over?" – asked Nancy surprised.

"They seem to be afraid" – observed the LT. Arises.

"Let's get closer, little by little" – I suggested.

Everyone nodded and we slowly got closer, at least until all the Diglett and Dugtrio turned at the same time and stared at us.

"My God, no one... move, we don't know how they can react" – said the Professor.

However, they did not attack, on the contrary, a small Diglett approached us, looked at us, then looked at the huge Dugtrio chained and bowed his head depressed.

"Is your Queen trapped?" – I asked curiously.

"Digle di" – nodded sadly.

"They seem to keep their Queen trapped, but I still don't understand, why don't you try to break free?" – said the Professor as he approached the chains.

The Queen looked at him, but soon closed her eyes, as if she lacked the energy to even open them.

"I understand, the chain is absorbing its energy, but who would do something like that and for what purpose?" – said the Professor astonished.

"Hahaha, but look at those we have here!" – said a familiar voice.

"They are the brats and they seem to bring company!" – said another.

"Who are you?" asked the LT. It arises seriously.

"Shit, they are..." – I tried to say.

"What who are we? Okay we'll tell you" – said the voice.

Jessie: Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!

"They're a gang of thugs who steal other people's Pokémon," Nancy replied.

"Team Rocket, I don't know what you want from here, but this place belongs to the Diglett and Dugtrio of the area, freed to their Queen" – I said seriously.

"Ha... ha... hahahahaha, of that nothing, this preciousness will be a good gift for our boss" – laughed Jessie.

"Yes, when these chains weaken it, we will take it away," Meowth agreed.

"Not if we can stop it, Fuecoco, I choose you!" – said Verity.

"Come on Quaxly!" - said Nancy.

"Pikachu, Sprigatito, let's prove to those thugs that you shouldn't hurt Pokémon!" – I exclaimed.

"Hahaha, I feared that too" - Meowth said at the push of a button.

Suddenly, from a kind of device with many holes, where each hole, several chains were fired that tied Pikachu, Fuecoco and Quaxly, which were taken by surprise and fell to the ground.

"Pikachu/Fuecoco/Quaxly!" – the three of us shouted.

The only good thing is that Sprigatito was able to react in time and dodged the chains.

"What are you elusive with? It doesn't matter, let's see if you can with our Pokémon" - James said pulling out his Pokéball.

Jessie nodded and also took out her Pokéball and threw it, out of them came an Excadrill and a Farigiraf.

"Tch, we're in trouble" - I said with a drop of sweat.

The girls wanted to throw their Pokémon, but I stopped them, if they do, the chains will catch them for sure and only Sprigatito is able to dodge them.

"Well, what do you plan to do only with your miserable skinny kitten?" – Jessie asked sarcastically.

"We will defeat you!" – I said.

"You just?" – James said with a smile.

"And who said he was alone? Meowscarada, it's time to fight!" – said the Professor taking out his Pokémon.

"Keep them busy, in the meantime I will try to free your Queen, let's go Raichu!" – said the LT Surge taking out his Raichu and going to where the chains that bound the Queen were.
