Chapter 64- Talia – Meeting Acacius Part 2 Volume 3

"Please, Talia, come with us. Let us talk and discuss things." Acacius motioned toward the cave. The moment he did I could hear Lex in my head. Not really, but I heard what his response would be. 

'No, stay out here and talk. There's no reason to go in there. We're all capable of talking here in the open, where I can see you all and escape if need be.'

I didn't hear the words in his voice, not really. It was my mind's interpretation of what he sounded like. Still, it was exactly how he would have reacted in this situation, and I couldn't ignore it. Not after making him stay home like that. 

"No, we can talk out here." I told him as I stood my ground.

"I do not mean to be rude, Queen Talia, but it is dangerous out here. Aside from Erebos and his army, there are beasts that roam the mountains. Beasts who have been free to do as they please for millennia. It is not safe for you or us."
