Chapter 12: A Mother's Worry (II).

Francisca's POV

The continuation of the memory…

Aunt Mila had already summoned her friends that had taken a break being invited to the birthday party. Some of the guests were riling to get in the action and wanted to find the man that hurt us but my Aunt assured them that they were enough to subdue him.

"Guards! Capture whoever hurt my daughter. He will have hell to pay when I get my hands on him." (Aunt Mila) cracks her knuckles placing a hand on the hilt of her sword before ordering the dozen knights she has brought with her.

"Yes, Ma'am." (Knights)

They all saluted, walking outside and taking scouts of the forest.

Aunt Mila's family is pretty successful but because her family takes on the role of instructors as a private military academy they rarely spend time with each other.

Aubrey would usually be sent for my mom to babysit, to play and bond with Glenn and I. Even if Aubrey's mom is fairly busy, I know she loves her.

Aunt Mila cares very deeply for her daughter.

"Mommy… I think I'm okay now so um-" (Audrey) lets out telling everyone that she's alright but no one was taking any chances.

"Oh my gosh don't worry mommy's gonna get revenge for you soon. Does anyone know any light healing spells- first aid spells?" (Aunt mila) asks the crowd.

"I can but I need to replenish my strength for a bit- I wasn't expecting that we've come across a goblin den not too far away…" (Mom) walked over looking guilty that she's not able to help.

Her little sister angrily replied-

''Well then. Somebody call a healer to help!'' (Aunt Mila)

A healer- I raised my hand slowly and that took their attention to me.

Aunt Mila places a hand on her waist, "What is it, Francisca? Did you need something?"

"I think I can do it. I even learned a spell that is royal mage level."

All of them stared at me in confusion- wondering how I was able to miraculously do such a feat, while Aunt Mila just gave me an open mouth expression pointing at her daughter. "Well don't just stand there to heal my daughter!"

She is definitely… not messing around.

I nodded, holding Aubrey's hand. "I didn't have enough magical power to heal Audrey and Glenn before but now I'm fully charged…"

I took a deep breath and went on chanting the spell. "[Regeneration]."

Audrey's wound started to heal and the pain is starting to fade away from the look on the expression on her face. The magic circle that appeared before her was light, warm and comforting.

Small little orbs of light began floating around us, soon when I was done I pat Aubrey's head for being a good girl while I was healing her.

While mom and the others were dumbfounded. I understand, if I were to see a five year old who gets to learn a spell so quickly and a royal mage level spell as well I would not believe my eyes.

"Can I adopt your daughter Gabby?" (Aunt Mila) asks and my mother could only roll her eyes telling her no.

"Nope. And never."

The adults began talking to themselves and I remembered John's favor. He was still a little left out on the side but I made sure he should have a place to crash in with us in exchange for letting us go.

"Well mom can John stay here? He doesn't have a home to come back to."

"Well… We do have extra rooms right honey?" (Dad)

"I'm not sure… but he did save you… though I'm still rather careful around strangers letting them inside the house might make me paranoid." (Mom) tells dad but Dad suddenly took a liking to John, he gives his best puppy eyes to mother who eventually gives in and nods in response to John getting a room in our home.

"If you're not gonna be staying here for free young man. You have to work as well as be dependent and a responsible man!" (Dad)

"Yes sir! I will work day and night to be able to stay here. Leave it to me!" He yells, smiling so widely and I sigh a breath of relief.

"Good! Now your job is to protect my little darlings and be they're playmates. You'll be they're guard while we're gone on quests."

"Yes sir, I'll risk my life for them!" (John)

"That's the spirit!" (Dad)

"Well they sure do get along." (Mom) mutters out, trying to look concerned over the newly formed friendship over there.

Glenn, who still had a few bruises, I quickly healed him after feeling my strength coming back. "[Regeneration]."

I healed Glenn afterward while John and dad talked. The light orbs appear once more, the magic circle disappears and I couldn't help but feel so horrible that I can't do anything more for my little brother.

Heal him, physically I can.

But… surely this will leave a scar of trauma for him that I can't remove.

The flashback of my memories was over, right after our training and magic testing we had to go back to our house seeing everything had its lights turned off we assumed everyone was asleep.

"Well I'll head off to bed mom." I told her yawning, the drowsiness was nearing me and I couldn't feel my legs.

"Good night sweety no need for me to tuck you in?" Mom asked and I shook my head with a smile.

"No… I'm okay mom. Goodnight, sweet dreams." I headed off to bed, closing the door to my room. I could see Glenn, who I shared the room with sleeping peacefully in his small bed while I took out my phone.

My research is not finished. The God of Reincarnation told me this would be a special kind of gift, clearly this item is overpowered.

I needed to check out my phone before I went to sleep.

What's this on my social media page?

[Golden Girls retires after their leader dies of a terrible accident.]

It was the title of the headline, Golden girls were the idol group I was in.

Many said that they lost hope after this event and eventually they retired. Francisca Schuyler's parents had been looking forward to her fifteenth birthday, but instead they were in a mourning state that they had to see their daughter pass away so soon.

Fans were devastated by her passing, leaving gifts on her tomb, making tributes and doing good in her name, truly we wish her a good life on the other side.

"Well.. that was fast… five years has passed over in my world…" I bit the tip of my thumb scrolling over the post. So… the phone can go through earth articles for me to catch up but when I try to comment or connect any of my email addresses nothing seems to be working.

I'm stuck as a spectator in this world.

Let me see when they published this…

[Post was published 260 weeks ago.]

Two-hundred sixty weeks…

So this world and earth have different timelines. Let me calculate.

...

I calculated a week equals a day. One week here equals a day on earth. It has been five years already. So if I calculate it correctly, eight months have passed so that means the new year is already over.

What else is there to see on my phone? What apps can I still open and- my old pictures here- is it still-

"Ah… here it is." I opened the gallery app and found what I was looking for.

I went back to social media and found something recent.

It's pictures of my mom and dad on earth and my little sister celebrating both Christmas and my birthday.

This one is new years. They still bought a really large amount of fireworks.

Oh, it's my little sister starting school. Making new friends. Oh! She earned a medal. She's in the top 2. It says.

'To my big sister up there in heaven I will make you and mom proud.'

That was so sweet of her. What else?

This one is-

...

My funeral.

It was a simple one, white flowers and not a lot of guests around, I could only make out a few familiar faces- like my exes. My family would've preferred it to be a private one.

My mom crying in the post and my pet husky trying to break my coffin to let me out, who pictured these?

'I'm sorry to let you see me like this.'

I started to cry.

I like the way life is now but I miss my old life.

I thought to myself what would happen if I didn't take that right path and instead take the long way to my private villa.

I'm so stupid I know that that path has serious dangers. I still took it.

"..."

I'll try to sleep and try to calm myself down, seeing everyone move on and continue on with their life, I would wonder if they would still think about me from time to time…

.-.-.-.

"Yawn…"

It was morning. The sun was shining bright, I woke up the moment the light peaked into the small gap between the curtains. I stand up, scratching the back of my neck before going down into the living room.

"Good Morning-" I tell everyone that was in the room, I didn't realize Dad was with a familiar face who was gleaming all over.

I see John with new clothes and armor and a sword.

I took a seat at the table deciding I'll ask that later and noticed the bacon and egg sandwich mom cooked. Mom was humming a song, as she places another bacon strip over my plate.

"Good Morning, Mom, nice breakfast." I tell her and she turns around giving me a boop on the nose. I took my knife and fork, and started cutting the bacon in half to eat.

"Good Morning honey, I have a surprise for you! You'll be training at Mt. Ordonia. where the ordonia family trains you for three months!" she tells me and I tilt my head in confusion.

"PFFFT-!"

Meanwhile Dad spitted out his drink hilariously.

"But honey francisca is just five she can't handle that training. When you told me you're going to send them away I was expecting something else- like Mila's house!" (Dad)

"She'll do fine besides John can come with her, I packed all of your bags. It'll help their training besides I taught francisca everything I know, she can protect herself." (Mom)

"Fine. Fine, hey john keep her safe I'll pack what they really need because I know what you really packed in those bags honey..." (Dad)

"As long as John is around I'm fine." I tell them both, stabbing the bacon before plopping it inside my mouth to eat. "Why the sudden surprise though- aren't we fine just at home?"

I ask and they look at each other before sighing and patting my head.

"Something happened… and you two are going to leave tomorrow. When you're done I'll give you special gifts that we prepared for you."

Gifts?! Well I'm convinced.

"I'll bring my phone and I'm still sleepy so I'll sleep for the day. "

I said and ran off to my room.

I wonder what Kind of gifts mom will give us. She always gifts me with something peculiar and special. Hopefully things turn out well for the next three months. It is going to be a hellish training experience.
