Adrienne received another guest in Jinxiu Garden while Lennox was away for work. It was the first time Reese Zhao had been there, and it made Adrienne a bit nervous. She knew that her uncle had yet to forgive and accept Lennox for marrying her behind their backs. 

As Adrienne showed Reese around their home in Jinxiu Garden, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She hoped that the beauty and serenity of the garden would help calm her uncle's heart and eventually bridge the gap between him and Lennox. 

As the lunch was served, Adrienne took the opportunity to ask her uncle about his unexpected visit. 

"What brings you here today, Uncle?" She asked as they ate. 

Reese took the napkin from the table and gently wiped his mouth before responding, "I came to see how you and Lennox were doing. I wanted to check in on both of you and make sure everything is alright."
