Chapter 12 (Todo 2)

Give me information about Todo," Augustya asked A.I. Meg. Augustya's wrist watch flickered a little and blue rays passed through towards his body, however, Todo didn't notice that.

"Sebastian aka Todo the duck 

Trait: Playboy, greedy and has a big mouth.

Attack: beak and dirty leg kick 

Height: 1 meter tall

Defence:  Bad

Fighter rank: C+

Age: 33 years old 

Species: Mutant

Todo had a shiny yellow beak. He was bipedal. He appeared to be an earthling duck but 3 times larger than that compared to how he could talk shit." 

Watching the glamorous entry of Todo the  Duck, Augustya dejectedly did not want to participate.

He poked Tilda's waist and asked: "Are you sure I need to fight with him?" 

Tilda answered: "Yes sweetie! It's your first fight so last for a minute." She winked her eyes to encourage him.

"Hideous!" Augustya Pandora cursed.

Tilda's cheeks wrinkled, but still she held her smile beautifully. 

The ring was set up so the participants were ready to battle. Augustya was in a cage with Todo the duck. It was a 3-meter radius, and nobody was allowed to leave till the game was over. 

The rules were simple: the one who knocked down the other won the game.

Other participants could give up in the remaining time. If someone died in the battle, then it was considered a victory for others.

Two of them take positions. 

"3,2,1."

"Start! "

"Quack!  You need to last for a minute." Todo's voice sounds like a child's despite being a grown up.  Augustya threw the first punch. However, Todo jumped over his head swiftly and landed in the opposite direction.

"Quack, you are dumb." Todo's big mouth started roasting him.

Augustya was a bit bewildered.

 Seeing the opportunity, he threw a round kick toward him. Todo jumped and slapped him in the mid-air.   

*Slap*

Augustya's cheeks were stinging as the foot landed on his face yet he endured silently. He bit his lower lip so he couldn't feel the humiliation from Todo the duck. Additionally, Todo's foot was imprinted on his tan skin. 

"Slow!" Todo mocked and quickly withdrew from him.

Perhaps, Augustya's first attempt was slow but the second should have been a hit.

He was confused and disliked the sneak attack. Todo constantly had been hitting  his torso.  Augustya launched his darts toward the duck and Todo jumped high and avoided the dart again. Because of high jumping and quick reflexes, he dodged pretty well. 

Last strike by Todo's feet was fatal and pierced through his skin. Crimson blood dripped from his cheeks.

"It's just my toenails. Pretty isn't it?" Todo grinned and was quite happy to see the boy in agony. Augustya might have to think about a new strategy or he would lose the match soon.

'Wings, feet and beak. His long jumps  dodged my every move. What should I do? Think, Augustya. What would Verma do in this situation?' 

Suddenly, Todo slammed the rookie fighter's head on the surface then quickly withdrew. 

"Slow! One minute is up. You are still thinking." Todo was continuously mocking him. 

'Focus, focus.' 

He shook his head and asked in an enigmatic voice, "Todo, do you know that the 3 square plus area of a circle is multiplied by 3."

"Quack! I know whom I sleep with.  Why are you asking though?" Todo said in a flat tone and didn't understand the boy's meaning. 

"90 seconds up," Tilda  announced.

Augustya was quietly standing and remained motionless.

"So are you giving up? Too bad I wish I had more fun with you." He was delighted to see the boy was giving up. 

"Nope, I am just calculating math in my head," Augustya answered and had a mischievous grin on his face. 

Viewers had mixed reactions about the rookie, some might think he was a big fool underneath the mask.

 "Meg, start electromagnetic force" 

→ Electromagnetic force will be activated in 10 second.←

Not having the patience, Todo attacked him first.  In a fraction of second, a big electromagnetic shield engulfed him.

"The answer is zero. Just like your mouth." 

"What the hell! It's a foul!" Todo screamed in frustration as he was trapped in there.

Tilda said, "Only guns, plasma objects and smoke grenades are not allowed here, other than that everything is legal." 

After hearing this Augustya smiled widely.

The electromagnetic wall covered a 30 cm radius so Augustya had a big advantage to win as Todo the duck's moves were restricted. 

Augustya threw a few darts toward his torso. He jumped higher to dodge but electromagnetic force bounced back his body.

"You! What sort of voodoo magic are you doing?" Todo asked in a frustrated voice.

"It's science!"  Augustya's wrist-watch had many features like two types of shields, a data collector and the latest version A.I installed to assist him.The digital watch seemed normal but the battery of the watch was from nuclear fusion and was infused in the isotrope Proton. Sadly, the shield could be used only thrice. 

Augustya swiftly punched in his eyes, then grabbed his wings and spun around violently. Todo had great speed but his strength and defense was low.   

"The game is over," Augustya muttered under his breath.

Todo's head started spinning and he fainted on the stage. The presenter smiled crookedly as she didn't expect the outcome. 

"Sigh! Our superstar Todo was defeated by a mere child. My doves, this is a heart-wrenching movement to us." Tilda sniffed and was unwilling to announce the boy's victory. 

"Sadly 14 won the match,"  Tilda announced. Those crocodile tears that she was dripping were for the money she lost. Also, Tilda was one of his bed-mates. 

Augustya walked out of the cage and bowed down a little and left the stage.

Listening to all the nonsense, he figured it would be better to be quiet. Moreover, Augustya won the first match in the Bang with the foes. 

Back stage where everyone was eyeing on  the Augustya digital watch. Some envied it, because of the grand entrance that Augustya made. Some thought he won by luck. Whatever the notion was, Augustya was still walking with a victory smile.

"I won!" Augustya had been humming the victory song as he arrived at the back stage. 

"Champ, how does it feel to win the first match?" Pancho asked with a happy face.

He had been watching the match attentively and betting all of his money at him.  

"You!" Augustya said in an angry voice. 

Pancho had big balls to show up here. 

"No need to be surprised. I am here as a spectator," Pancho said in a flat voice. Besides, he didn't regret what he did though.  For him, it was just a test to evaluate the boy and gain some money. 

Augustya paused before breaking out of silence. "Awesome! I never thought I would win," Augustya replied back even though he detested him. 

"I had a hunch that this might go wrong but my brother's voice rang over my head  and I won."

 Pancho glanced at the boy's innocent expression as he behaved like his peers.

"But I can't forget what you did to me." His expression changed to a serious one. 

"You shouldn't." Pancho gave a wry smile and left like that.

After the match celebration, Augustya still wondered where he would be sleeping. 

Talking to strangers made him uneasy, let alone asking them where he was staying.

' I guess, I have to sleep on a bench. Did Millie say that I will have my own room? 

Ahh!' Augustya's mind was full of turmoil.

'Ahh! Why can't I remember that? Honey dew berry!  Ahh! Not a honey dew berry.' Honey dew berries popped into his consciousness again.

Honey drew berry was a berry that tastes like honey and had a sweet pungent aroma.  A space fruit which was expensive and only grows in deserted land.

'What was my room number again?' He  couldn't remember anything.

"Umm, that muscular guy seemed okay. I should talk to him," Augustya muttered under his breath and gathered his courage to ask him. He pretended to have a calm face and approached the muscular man.

"Hello sir, do you know where I was going to sleep?" Augustya politely asked. 

"We are not administrators and go ask them," the stranger answered rudely. Augustya  went silent. Sadly, his confidence went to zero.

"I am not asking anymore." With teary eyes, Augustya was alone in the back stage. The boy did not have any hopes and was already planning to sleep on the bench.  

Where there's a will there's a way, in that case he already lost one. 

Zekrom bypassed the backstage area as his eyes shifted to Augustya.
