Chapter 24 - A Moment of Respite

The old gentleman stood his ground, his gaze unwavering as the gang of local thugs closed in. Their fists clenched, their faces contorted with a mix of aggression and disbelief. They had expected an easy target, a defenseless prey. Little did they know that the man before them held secrets and abilities beyond their comprehension.

With a calm yet commanding voice, the old gentleman spoke, his words carrying an air of ancient wisdom. "Young ones, there is still time to reconsider your actions. Violence begets violence, and the path you tread will lead you to naught but regret."

The thugs, fueled by pride and a thirst for dominance, scoffed at the notion. "Old man, we don't need your sermons. Hand over your valuables...relics, all of it!!! Or we'll make sure you regret crossing our path!"
