I raised my arm in protest. "What your sister meant was that how are we supposed to do it? Besides attacking them, that is."

To my surprise, Mathilde only tilted her head in... confusion? "Is it not satisfactory?"

Wait, seriously? "The logistics of attacking the Furnaces, as well as their locations," I skeptically asked. "Do we have access to them?"

It was easy to just say we'll hit the Furnaces and be done with it. The know-how was the thing that I was hopefully trying to get out of this discussion. If Mathilde was as focused as I was on grand strategy, then were we just cursed to wing every single operation?

I really hoped that wasn't the case.

"Oh... Perhaps I was too vague," Mathilde nodded, realization twinkling in her eyes. "I shall make the adjustments, Rouge."
