The people were moving about their lives with a relative sense of safety. Men, women, and children all roamed about the streets here going about their daily activities, though the midday sun was visibly making it so that some were clearly taking shelter in the shade of some of the nearby buildings. "Holy fvck, was it hot..."
I was pretty intimate with hot temperatures, but the scorching heat right now was kind of getting to me in a way that I haven't felt in a very long time. I was actually sweating for the first time since I left the north months ago, and the sun just seemed to keep on bearing down on me the longer I remained in its shining gaze.
"Must be the humidity..."
Making like the locals, I briskly walked towards the nearest shade I could possibly find; an awning of a nearby pottery shop being my location of choice as I quickly reorganized my options.
