Training arc 2.0

The night sky covered the area As Y/N walked heading to a beach area where he was supposed to meet up with Tonowari today was going to be his first day of training under him.

He was not sure what he was going to learn but he knew that he was going to want to die afterward probably.

He was still quite tired. He did not get much sleep because he had talked with Tsireya for a while last night. He learned of some of the differences when using his hands underwater. He was right that the way they talked was close to sign language.

But he learned of how it said slightly differently. Anyway, Tsireya left him saying how she was going to need to wake up early as well then.

She left before he could ask her what she meant by that but she was gone as a ghost.

He made it to the beach that Tonowari told him about. It was a good spot spread out nicely and it was just a great view of the place. He could see Tonowari a couple of feet away; he was admiring the view of the night school.

He walks close to him even looking up as well.

Tonowari: great view ain't it?

Y/n: it is.

The night sky reflected in the water and the stars were glittering away.

He turned to him and had something on his hands. Looking at it… well from where he stood it looked like trash.

But he knew better than to guess something like that.

Tonowari: Here is a gift to help suit you more to your surroundings.

Tonowari: I had these made as soon as we got back yesterday after helping Jake.

Y/n let out a sigh as he was right he knew what they were already they were clothes.

Y/n: thank you Tonowari

Tonowari: go on try it there a spot over there you can use.

The point behind a boulder that was up in the sand.

He walked over behind looking at it. He had to admit it was a solid change from what he had been wearing.

There was a new armband thing he wrapped right under the cloth that he got back from his Ilu. He now had two on his arm.

Now for a while, he had something that would be a shirt kinda but with this, he is shirtless now.

But there was something he could have on for it was something like a sea root or was it a tree root.

He was not sure but it wrapped from his top left shoulders to the other side of his stomach.

It did not cover much his chests were still showing out to the world and his solid abs.

He always saw Kiri looking at them when they slept together so she will probably be happy about it.

But he now has his abs to show off to the ladies.

He got a new loincloth this time it had little holes poking out he was not sure why but they were there.

Finally of course he got new " underwear" It made him wonder if they had the same thing as the jungle Navi.

About how the female can't wear the underwear or can they wear them this time makes him think for a solid moment

But anyway, he finished with his new clothes but he had one more thing to add to his outfit.

He grabbed it from his old clothes. It was a knife strap that he wrapped around his upper right leg.

He made it that way so it was easier to grab it when he needed it during fights.

After he was done setting himself up he walked over to Tonowari and made sure to put his other clothes to the side.

Tonowari saw how he looked and he thought it was an interesting design as he had both jungle human and now sea navi clothing styles. The main part was sea Navi but he had just one piece of the other two.

Tonowari: Are you ready now are we?

Y/n: Yes sir.

Tonowari: Now then today's training will be about your surroundings.

Y/n looked around not to see anything besides that bolder from before.

Tonowari: Now then come at me!

Y/n looked at me quickly not expecting an answer and was confused. about it.

Y/n; Huh?

Tonowari: The best form of training is through experience, that is why you will be fighting me. Now as I said before come at me

He was not wrong to experience the best way of learning but fighting against him sounds like he was just asking to get his ass kicked. He needs to do this to learn.

Tonowari got into a fight stance with his staff by his side, y/n could feel himself getting nervous about this but when he got ready he pulled his knife out and got into a knife fight stance.

A couple of seconds passed before Tonowari thrust his spear at him. y/n flipped the knife so that it would slide off his knife. but out of nowhere, he swung the other head hit into y/n face making him take a step back.

Tonowari: You left yourself open when you did not counter the current thrust just now. Now come at me again.

That spear left a stinging on his face that hurt like hell. This time he took the attack he went to thrust his knife at the side of him but he tripped forward falling face-first into the sand.

Tonowari: When fighting an opponent you always know where you are and you forgot you were on sand causing you to fall as soon as you tried to fight me.

Y/n: I see then I better up my game then.

He got back up from the ground shaking off the sand and they got back into position ready to fight. Y/n went at him again but this time he threw his left hand opened it and sand flew out at Tonowari. He blocked the sand but it still made him look away from y/n.

Y/n went for a jab at his leg but he got wack at the top of his head making him fall to the ground.

Tonowari: not bad idea with the sand but still you are too open. It leaves you open to attacks.

Y/n: I *huff* see*huff*

As Y/n slowly got up he saw a hand in front of him looking up he saw Tonowari with his hand out to him.Y/n grabbed it and was helped up by him.

Tonowari: All alright let's try something else this time I will help you with counter-attacking. The basis of it is that you redirect an opponent's attack giving you time to attack them.

Tonowari: You did it before when I went to thrust my spear at you but there were two things wrong. The first was timing. You need to do it when it is the right moment for it. The second is you need to play it along.

Y/n: so when I redirected your attack the timing was off. I'm assuming the wrong moment was because you were far out from it.

Tonowari: yes that is because I was far out from you so when you did it I was able to redirect my hit at you. Now as I was saying about the play along I mean you let the motion play.

Y/n:: what do you mean by that exactly?

Tonowari: Here it's kinda like this.

He brought his spear out ready for attack but he was also speaking to him as well about what he meant by play along.

Tonowari: So when I'm closer to you and thrust my spear at you. So just like you did my sper would slide but you should make it so that your knife would get closer by sliding against my spear.

Tonowari: So then my body would be moving the way with the spear and you would be closer. Now then get up. I want you to try doing it again.

They both looked at each other as they had their weapons ready. Tonowari walks closer over to him and tries to hit him but y/n blocks the hits.

Tonowari goes for a jab toward y/n shoulder. y/n tilted his knife and went at his spear making it head downwards toward the sand. He notices that Tonowari is trying to move it back up.

Y/n brings his knife down on it stopping it from going up and he uses his foot to kick upward at Tonowari's face making him take a step back.

Tonowari: Good that's more like it, let's keep doing this a couple more times.

They got back into a fighting position and kept going at each other for a while. This lasted till the sun was out and some of the navi were out working some did watch before doing what they needed to.

Tonowari: Let's end it for today.

Y/n: Man I'm beat finally I can rest.

Tonowari: You are a solid worrier. I can see that you just need to hone your skill and I can see you being much better. Also, I see you have a master over your feelings during our fight.

Y/n: It is something that you learn through action. I know how feeling angry could make you make dumb choices during a fight.

Tonowari: Good, always remember that now then. It seems that we have someone who has been waiting for us to finish for a while now.

Y/n looked in the direction of where Tonowari was looking at.

Y/n saw Tsireya she was walking to them with a basket.

Tonowari: What are you doing daughter?

Tsireya: Hello Father Y/n told me that you two would be training together early in the morning so I thought I should make some food for you both.

She gave him some food from her basket. then walks over to y/n she sees him in his new outfit.

A blush formed on her face as she looked at him with his open chest that now didn't have anything to cover his chest.

Tsireya: ar-are you al-right Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah I'm doing good, just tired and hungry.

Tsireya: Here are some fish I made just like the one from last night.

Y/n: sweat, that was the best fish that I had thank you for making it again.

Tsireya: Y-Yeah it is not a problem. *quietly* especially seeing you like this.

Y/n: you said something?

Tsireya: N-no nothing that you should be worried about

Y/n noticed that Tonowari was watching them and he had his arm crossed. staring at him with a smirk.

Y/n knew why he was giving him that stare he was watching his girl being interested in a guy for the first time. Seeing her growing up before his eyes.

Y/n: what is it Tonowari?

He just shook his head with a grime on his face.

Tonowari: nothing, nothing at all.

Tonowari: Anyway I need to head out but Y/n let's do this in a couple of days from now so that I can think about what's next for you.

Y/n: All alright and thank you Tonowari for doing this.

Tonowari: No problem, just make sure nothing happens to my girl.

Y/n: I promise you

Tsireya had no idea what was happening between the two but she felt embarrassed by her father for talking to y/n like that.

Tsireya: Stop it, father

She was hitting him softly on his shoulder. He lets out a small chuckle before putting his hand on her head before heading off.

Y/n was not sure why but this felt like he was saying goodbye to his daughter like one of those people who knew something was going to happen so they put a smile on their face before going off to die.

Maybe it was just his imagination that made him think about that.

She quickly turns to look at y/n.

Tsireya: Don't worry about him

Y/n: hehe sure thing

Tsireya: What are you going to do now?

Y/n: Not sure all I know is I'm tired as heck right now. I might just head back to go to sleep.

Tsireya: oh

She looked kinda sad for a moment before she seemed to understand.

Tsireya: Well then I hope you sleep well. Oh by the way can you help me tomorrow with teaching the others about taming an Ilu?

Y/n: oh yeah sure I can do that.

Tsireya: Thank you, then I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good rest.

Y/n: no problem, you have a good day then.

Y/n walked away from her but he felt like he was being watched. It felt like that one from a couple of days ago. So he decides to take care of this before heading to sleep.

He walked for a while till he was on the land but close to the water. He was away from the clans. As he did not want to create a commotion.

Y/n: are you going to come out now girl?!

He hears some wings flapping and looks up to see his ikran. She flew around before coming close to him. It looked at him and stared deep at him.

Y/n: what's wrong girls what is it?

She lets out a screeching at the water staring at it before some bubbles rose from it. The Ilu that he bonded with came out looking at the ikran, unlike the ikran it had a much quieter screech at the ikran.

Y/n: hey stop it you two. I was hoping to introduce you two to each other but it seems that you both already met.

They did not flinch, they kept their eyes on each other.Y/n let out a sigh.

Y/n: What are you both jealous of each other?

They both looked at him when he mentioned the jealous part.

Y/n: ok I see then. Look you two I plan to use both of you. No one is going to have my full focus. I love both of you equally and I will help you if I need to. It is just one of you that is better for different things.

Y/n: if you both don't stand down now then I will not use you anymore and I will unbond you.

That is what really hit them the Ilu did not want to lose something that it finally got after believing it would never get a partner. So it stood down and the ikran stood for a couple of mine before backing up.

She did not want to lose her partner either as she liked him a lot so she did not want to lose him.

Y/n: see that was not so hard now come here you two.

He walked closer to the ilu so it could still be in the water. But unexpectedly they push him over and they land on him.

Y/n: HOLY SHIT YOUR BOTH HEAVY

He was being squeezed by their weight; his ilu took his right side and his ikran on his right. He looked down to see them not fighting, just snuggling up to him.

He rubbed the side of their faces with a smile on his face.

They were both purring as he kept petting their head and rubbing the side of their face.

Y/n: as fun as this is for you I need to get going ladies.

He tried to get up but they would not move. He tried again and got the same result.

Y/n: uh ladies I need to leave.

He feels the weight in his chest get heavy as if they don't want him to leave and it's their way of saying to stay.

Y/n: fine I will stay just please stop pushing on my chest.

He felt his chest get much lighter and they both started to purr. He was not sure why but he felt himself getting tired and more tried till he fell asleep

So when I started this chapter it was meant to be just like the original training chapter only being around 1000 words

but it turned out much bigger anyway. I hope you all enjoyed it and look forward to the next chapter.
