[Argg. There are so many damn chains and those fuckin mages are keeping me down. What should I do?] Alex was currently struggling to get back up on his feet but there were too many chains, causing his movement to be restricted. Alex tried to think of a plan to get rid of the chains but decided to wait before making a move.

No One POV

"HURRY, ADD MORE MANA CORES INTO THE STRENGTH-ABSORBING CHAINS BEFORE IT CAN ATTACK. IF YOU FAIL THIS. YOU WILL GET NO PAYMENT." A fat man that was currently yelling was sitting down on a fancy-looking carriage that was being pulled by 2 horses that were covered with rocks, protecting the most vital spots. This fat man was sweating literal buckets worth of sweat, the reason for him to be sweating so much, he was yelling at the 13 adventures he hired.

"God damn, why did we have to be hired by this fat pig. I swear, all he can do is just eat." One of the adventures that the noble hired, was whispering to his teammate that was beside him. This man was currently trying to get the weird beast in front of him on its side so that they could have an easier time to either tame it or harvest it, depending on what the noble chose.

"Shush Dave, our employer may hear us. You should already know how angry he will get if hears you. The last group that was hired apparently called him fat. So he gather most of their family, killed the sons, and order his soldiers to rape the daughters and wives of the adventures. Once the soldiers were done, he executed all of the adventures and families and then hanged the bodies over a bridge." The man that Dave whispered to quickly made him shut up as he did not want to get on the noble bad side

"Anyway, it was our George who accepted the request. When I asked him why he accepted. He said 'Well I have no more money for gambling, drinking, and going to the brothel.'" The man explains the reason why they were escorting the noble and the caravan that they left behind so that they could capture the beast. He was currently digging his feet down into the dirt as he was trying his best to keep the beast down on its side and to stay on his feet, while the mages were using gravity magic on the white beast to keep it down.

"ARRGG. Come on Jake, don't give up yet, it's already tiring itself out." Dave, whose whole face was red as he was pulling as hard as he could, was trying to encourage Jake as it appeared the beast was finally losing its strength.

THUD

The white beast finally fell onto its side.

Seeing this, The fat noble quickly went into his carriage and quickly exited while holding a small wooden box that had golden engravings. The fat noble quickly ran (walked), moving his fat little legs as far as he could. As he was getting closer, a blue light started to shine on his hands, and soon enough a clicking noise was heard.

The clicking noise came from the wooden box opening. The fat noble then grabbed something from the box. It was a piece of white paper attached to a black collar. The paper itself had thin blue lines that formed circle after circle. If Alex could see it, he would have no clue on what to make of it, it would just appear to him as a bunch of lines that someone scribbled on a piece of paper.

The fat noble soon got to the head and sucked in a deep breath of air as he has never moved that much before. The fat noble quickly caught his breath and asked "Is this beast finally tired out, the B-rank taming rune will only work once a beast can no longer fight."

"Yes, sir Micheal. This beast is no longer struggling, it should have already tired itself out." George quickly answered, his voice was tired but filled with confidence.

Hearing that, the fat noble (Micheal) placed the collar onto the beast's head and started to inject the minuscule amount of mana he had into the collar.

Once the noble started to inject mana into the collar, a blue shine formed on the paper and collar. The paper started to slowly burn away while the collar slowly melted into the beast's head.

When the collar fully melted into the head, blue lines started to form all around the head and travel to the neck, before making an abrupt stop. The blue lines quickly receded and went back to the area where the collar was placed. Once the blue lines receded and disappeared, the collar quickly rebuilt itself and fell onto the ground.

Before anyone could react to the rejection of the taming rune. The beast quickly jumped back onto its feet, launching some of the adventures up as they were still holding onto the chains. The beast soon started to run away again, but a giant problem arose between the adventurers and the fat noble.

The beast was running towards the caravan.

"HURRY, KILL IT BEFORE IT DAMAGES THE MERCHANDISE." The fat noble quickly got out of his stupor and ordered the adventurers to kill it. The adventurers went pale as they knew they would need to pay for damages and knew that the fat noble might possibly kill them all for failing.

They all quickly ran after the beast but it was already too late, the beast was able to get to the caravan. The caravan had 5 carriages, including the fat noble carriage. Three of those carriages were filled with goods such as clothing, food, papers, coins, jewelry, and other small items, but the last carriage was just a cage with wheels, filled with children.

When the drivers of the carriages saw the beast getting closer and closer, they tried to move out of the beast's path but it was too quick. They fled in terror as they knew they would have been squashed by that beast.

But something really peculiar happened before the beast squished the carriages, they disappeared before they got stepped on, and the only thing that was left was the horses that were pulling the carriages. Once the beast made it to the end, thin blue tendrils formed on the beast's legs and wrapped themselves on the carriage, causing the cage to be pulled in the same direction as the beast.

The children were really scared as they thought they would be squished to death, some even accepted that they were going to die, but the older kids quickly noticed that they were being pulled and grabbed the younger kids to protect and calm them down.

As they were getting farther and farther away from their kidnappers, they all suddenly shifted to the opposite side of the beast. The ones near the edges started to pale up as they saw the ground getting farther away.

They told the other children what was happening and some grabbed onto the bars or the other kids that were near them and closed their eyes in the fear of flying in the air.

Soon enough, the children felt the bottom of the carriage hit the ground. But when they opened their eyes, they saw that they were on the back of the beast. They started to panic again as they had no idea what it wanted or what would do to them.

They all trembled in fear as 4 thin tendrils started to slowly form above their heads. One of the tendrils slowly went towards a little girl and stopped once it was near her little, bony hands.

Some of the older kids that were near the little girl tried to attack the tendril as they thought it would harm her but stopped when they saw a bright red object land on her hand. 

A Apple.

Soon enough the tendrils went to the youngest to oldest, each child getting some kind of fruit to eat. Some of the children got new clothes as the clothes they were wearing were just dirty rags that barely covered their bodies. Of course, some of the more sensible children didn't accept the offerings as they did not trust it but soon started to eat the fruit as the other kids appeared to be happily eating the food they had gotten.
