Chapter 240: The Tournament Part 6

"Ladies and gentlemen! We are ready to start the block C battle royale!" The announcer shouted and the audience started to cheer.

Everyone started fighting each other and seconds later, people were flying onto the water that surrounded the arena.

Vivi was standing at one side, observing her opponents. 

'The old man from before is there, there is also a giant, a boxer, and…'

"Is that a bull?" 

"Ohoho, look who we have here!" 

"Today is our lucky day, brother."

The two men who were taunting her and Rebeca back inside the coliseum had spotted Vivi and approached her.

She gave them an uninterested glance and continued to watch the fights.

"You know missy? according to the rules…everything is allowed here."

"Yeah. Any type of attack, he hehe!" The disgusting man licked his lips.

"Wait, is killing allowed here?" She didn't pay much attention when the assistant was naming the rules.

"That's right! everything is allowed!"

"So let's have some fun while everyone else fights." 

Both men started to get closer. They were wearing leather armor and wielding long swords, but they had them stored inside their sheaths.

"Okay then." Vivi lifted the massive blade and held it to her side.

"What?!, really?."

"we thought we would need to use some force for this…you know, is more fun when they re-"

As soon as Vivi tapped her boots on the arena floor, she disappeared from their sight.

A moment later, the head of the first man had been separated from his shoulders, creating a fountain of blood that landed on his brother.

"B-Bro?..." The other man needed a moment to process what had just happened since it was so out of their realm of possibility.

Sensing now the danger, his hand moved quickly to the handle of his sword.

But before he had time to unsheath it or even turn around, a massive blade descended upon him. Cutting him vertically from head to bottom, bisecting his body.

Vivi hurried to move away before blood could reach her. The last thing she wanted was that disgusting man's blood on her skin.

The others who were fighting close by had suddenly stopped and stared at her with open eyes.

"What the hell?!"

"How did she move so fast?"

"Did you see how she moved that giant sword?"

'It seems like I have their attention now.' Vivi thought.

Save for the two brothers, the rest of the fighters had been ignoring her after the brawl got started.

They did not see her as a threat so it wasn't worth paying attention to her since they believed that even if she lasted longer,  they could deal with her at any time.

"Well, this is quite the surprise!. It seems like the female gladiator, Lucy, is not someone to.be underestimated. The nasty brothers can attest to that!" the announcer said.

"Ahh!"

"Nooo!"

Several men were flung out and many others started crying in pain while trying to escape from something big.

"And there he is!" The excited voice of the announcer could be heard.

"The Grim Reaper of the coliseum, say hello to the Brutal Bull!"

Several more men were pushed into the water as a giant black bull charged without mercy through the arena.

"Oh…is coming this way." Said Vivi.

Everyone got out of the way as the bull continued to sprint in her direction.

'Should I just cut it in half?' she considered.

But without trying to remember, memories of an alternate reality where Luffy was the one to take her place and befriend the creature appeared in her mind.

She could not know for sure but the bull was probably forced by the Doflamingo family to be constantly fighting at the arena. Killing him now just felt wrong. 

"Fine…" With her last bit of reluctance disappearing, she accepted to use a  gentler approach with her next oponent.

The Battle Bull had reached her and used his momentum in an attempt to push her out of the arena and eliminate her.

Vivi placed her left hand on the top of his head. 

The stone tiles broke apart as she released her hold on her real weight. The thousands of pounds of water accumulated and compressed inside her body were no longer being maintained by her ability, making her heavier than the average giant.

The Bull's momentum was immediately stopped. much to everyone's surprise, the bull's powerful charge did not manage to move Vivi even one inch from her spot.

The tremendous force of the impact was more than enough to knock the bull out. For him, it must have felt like hitting a steel wall with his head at full speed.

"What….what just happened?" The commentator did not know how to explain what they just saw. It made no sense. The massive Battle Bull was able to throw around men ten times her size like ragdolls but was stopped by a small woman with one hand.

This last action was enough to gather the attention of everyone in the arena.

The eyes of the strongest fighters In the arena were now focused on Vivi as if trying to measure this new threat.

She stood there calmly and waited.

The giant turned to her and laughed. 

"Not bad, little girl. But the one who will win this tournament is me, Hajrudin! With the power of this devil fruit, I will become the strongest of all giants!" he declared.

The other participants gave him nasty glares.

"You think you can win? how delusional… " Said the bald old man.

"Hpmh!, I'll come back for you in a moment, old man." The giant walked to Vivi.

"I have decided to deal with this girl first."

"Oh no, the giant gladiator, Hajrudin has laid his eyes on Lucy!, what is she going to do now?!" The commentator said in a dramatic way.

Back at the balcony, several people were watching Vivi with interest.

"I will admit, she is a lot stronger than I have initially thought," Cavendish commented while eating an elegant meal that had been set up on a table.

"Something is intriguing about her…I have the feeling that I have seen her before." Rebeca observed with interest.
