In the forests, there stood a lonely shack with a car parked in front of it. The birds chirped in the air as the sun strongly shone upon the two-story shack. The smell of grass permeated the surroundings, accompanied by the fragrance of forest flowers.
Wild animals kept their distance from the shack, despite the presence of the dead bodies of wolves and bears in the vicinity that were rotting.
The scent of blood freely wafted through the air constantly catching the attention of many wild creatures.
They were tempted to go closer and have themselves a free meal but they knew better than to go close to the shack.
They had all seen what happened to the ones that got greedy and went close, they were instantly filled with Holes and killed.
Peacefully parked in front of the shack was James's Audi, a sleek Black vehicle that absorbed the sunlight shone towards it.
The shack featured multiple windows, and the sun's rays illuminated the interior through one large window at the centre of the shack.
If one were to look closer into the that specific window on would see a simple Double Bed and a Night stand, Thag was about it.
In the middle of the room, James's body lay peacefully on that bed, leaning against the back wall as he slept peacefully.
With eyes pressed together shut, James's breathing changed, becoming more active.
His eyes fluttered open, as the sunlight impacted his eyes and they glowed bright gray in the sunlight like gems.
However, he quickly shut them again, rubbing his eyes, as he sat up on the bed in silence.
Staring at the floor in a daze, his back bent in a resting position, he took a deep breath.
He extended his back, feeling his toes curl and his hands stretch away from his body for a few seconds before releasing and exhaling.
His eyes returned from the daze, and he looked around, feeling both well rested and confused.
"Wasn't... I...?" James questioned, his voice trailing off.
[Yes, you had just attacked the Crystal,] the System's voice rang out in his head, snapping him out of his daze.
James's demeanor shifted, and he looked around, his posture guarded.
"Where am I?" James asked, rising to his feet cautiously as the blanket slipped away, leaving him momentarily exposed to the cold air.
He looked down and instantly realized he was naked.
Embarrassed, he quickly sat back on the bed, covering his lower body.
[You are in your shack outside of the underground bunker. Jarvis brought you here after the events of last night in Qatar,] the System replied.
"Ah, so I am back home," James realized, glancing around the room that slowly began to become more familiar.
His eyes widened slightly as he remembered the events of the previous night. "What happened last night?" he inquired, his mind a jumble of thoughts.
[Last night, you performed an event that had never been done before. You stopped the formation of a Totenkbrau, essentially killing it. You are the first person to accomplish such a feat,] the System explained.
"What do you mean by 'kill'? Totenkbraus are immortal... aren't they?" James's voice cracked slightly.
[Yes, you killed a Totenkbrau, marking you as the first being to accomplish such an event—something that was thought to be impossible,] the System affirmed.
James let out a small chuckle as his body fell onto the bed, his eyes fixed on the ceiling in disbelief.
[For such an extraordinary event, the System has decided to award you unlimited access to any type of question,] the System declared.
A wide smile spread across James's face as his heart raced. Just as he was about to ask the questions he had been longing to know, the System interjected.
[Before you ask, there are a few questions exempt from this benefit, such as inquiries about Tony Stark and the events of your birth,] the System clarified.
His smile instantly faded, replaced by a stab of disappointment in his heart. "How the hell is that unlimited access, huh?" James shouted in anger. The System remained silent until James's anger subsided.
He closed his eyes for a moment, then quickly opened them again. "System, what was that burning sensation in my arms and that lightning?"
[I was about to inform you about that before your outrage. So, if you have calmed down, may I continue?] the System asked.
James sighed quietly and nodded.
[There was a side effect to killing the Totenkbrau.
Since you killed it before it fully formed, the disruption of the supernatural particles' clash triggered a natural response by the World.
To be more clear, The Supernatural Particles didnt know what to do so they attacked the person that disrupted them in the form of Black Lightning.
The System deployed heat to mitigate some of the punishment, but it was unable to offset it entirely,] the System explained.
James remained silent, processing the information. The room filled with silence for a few minutes as James absorbed everything.
"Then what about the punishment you couldn't offset?" James asked, his voice trembling. He swallowed nervously, waiting anxiously for the System's response.
[The Punishment was given to you in the form of a Curse and although the System tried to combat the Curse it failed to fully get rid of it]
"A curse?"
[Yes, Each Totenkbrau has The Curse of Immortalitity and Constant Evolution]
