"Interesting," Gregory cocked his head to the side while sneering at Aiden. "It seems that you have been expecting my visit."

"In a way," Aiden said. "This is why you separated me and Ryan, right?"

"Heh. Didn't you think that I would visit Ryan instead of you?"

Aiden chuckled.

"After your heartfelt conversation this evening? Not at all."

Gregory scoffed. Amusement glinted in his eyes as he watched the man who Ryan was madly in love with. The one who replaced Izabella so easily.

"And do you know what I am here for?"

"Kill me?" Aiden guessed.

Gregory laughed.

"Oh, you all are very boring," he remarked. "It's either kill Ryan or kill you. Do you know that revenge is a form of art? How grotesque would it be to just splatter the wall with your enemy's blood and be done with it?"

The way Gregory spoke drove chills down Aiden's spine. If he was not there to kill him, then what was he there for?
