"Who are you?"

Lyle's question reverberated through the corridor as the monster cocked its head before shaking it. It couldn't answer the question, maybe it wasn't able to, maybe it simply didn't know the answer to it.

"How did you become this?" Lyle asked the monster that once again shook its head.

"Tch, so no memory of it?" This time, the monster nodded its head to Lyle in affirmation.

Just as Lyle was about to ask it something again, the sound of footsteps reverberated through the corridor, prompting Lyle to widen his eyes before looking around to find a place to hide.

"Was this one a success?"

"Who knows, we already had a couple of failures, the boss isn't certain that this one will be any different."

Two men appeared around the corner and walked over to the monster with amused expressions.

"Look, this one isn't aggressive, that's a first."
