THE THUNDER

Kristen finished dressing up eventually with the help of her maids as she had to look presentable for the whole week. The guests were flooding in to congratulate her, even though she insisted keeping it low key. Can't blame the heaven for being excited to attend the royal wedding of their pride and strength, Kristen and Gabriel. A lot of gifts and fortunes were promised by the God if everything ends with merry and peace. Everyone was anticipating it, it would mark the beginning of a new era which would be full of harmony and growth.

The last time, they had planned a wedding was the bloody night which marked the darkness in the heaven. Everyone was gathered around in the venue, cheering and congratulating the couple when the blood showered over. It was a really scary moment, who would expect there would be a blood bath in heaven's wedding ceremony. The couple were bewildered and the bride almost passed out at the terrified act put forward by her dear brother.

"Aunt, can I have a word with you?" Kristen asked standing outside the enormous door, slightly peeking inside to make sure the situation was fine.

"Yes, my dear." The same voice which was wrapped with adoration and love spoke back.

Kristen straightened her dress and pushed her slightly curled hair behind before running inside the room. She lunged on her aunt for a very tight hug and was welcomed with the same warmth. She pulled away and sat down right next to her, not letting go off her hands which was caressing her arms. It was just a century ago, they got Kristen into their household. To be exact, she was suddenly made by the God himself and the reason to it, still unknown.

"How is the day going? I haven't seen uncle anywhere." She asked as her eyes sparkled.

"U--uh, he went out with t-the guards for something." She stuttered unknowingly and it was enough for Kristen to pick out the uneasiness.

"What happened, aunt?"

"W-what do you mean? Come on, we have a lot of work to do." Linda tried to divert the topic which only increased her suspicion.

"Aunt, you know that I have the power to read your mind but I am just respecting you now." Kristen warned her aunt as her hand firmly circled around the other.

Linda sighed as she knew that the powers Kristen had were beyond that of normal angels and she hadn't fully discovered it yet. How was she supposed to tell her dear daughter that the seal was fading, right before her wedding? It would definitely be traumatizing as Kristen had never really witnessed the wrath of her son but from the stories she had heard, Kristen hated the man.

"Is it him?" Kristen seemed to have taken the hint as Linda was trying hard to find her words.

"K-kristen, it is not like you think." She tried to explain.

"So he is planning to spoil my wedding too? He sent any warnings regarding this?" Her hazel eyes slowly changed to bright golden colour showing how angry she was getting.

"H-he wouldn't do that. We have made sure that he wouldn't get the news of this wedding."

"So you all are scared of him that you have to hide such an auspicious occasion from someone like him?" She scoffed while getting up the bed side.

"Where are you going?" Linda asked alarmed as Kristen can act on impulse which would cause more chaos and in this situation, the weightage should be on calming down the trouble.

"To Gabriel." That was all she said before vanishing into thin air causing Linda to take a heavy sigh.

"I am not even kidding, we have already altered your wedding suit twice. You need to stop stressing if you want to not lose weight again."

"Seriously? I am not stressed about this at all." Gabriel pouted as he was checking out a size plus suit, wrapped around him.

"Let's try once more and this time, if you are not co operating, you will wear this sack to the wedding." The man grinned as he helped the boy to remove the expensive suit.

Gabriel and his friends were joking and having fun as they talked about the wedding, his friends occasionally teasing him with Kristen and the boy turning to ripe tomato every now and then. If you imagine heaven to be just forest and old buildings, then you are wrong. It was such a beautiful place where everything was exactly the same as in earth. All the luxuries and materials needed to live a modern life but something about the place was very authentic. Gabriel was about to pour the wine when a hand, suddenly pulled him back causing him to jerk.

"H-hey hey hey." Gabriel blabbered out not recognizing the strong hand from behind.

"We need to talk."

"Oh, its you. My love, please go slow or I will trip and lose two of teeth before the event." Gabriel chuckled as he slowly gained his composure.

"Let's first see if the event will happen or not." She huffed before pushing the man inside his room and locking the door behind.

"W-what do you mean? I definitely didn't do an-anything to mess up." He panicked at her sudden statement.

"Calm down, you idiot. It is not about you, the situation here is messed up." She scoffed before gulping down a cup of champagne which was already served by the table, the one Gabriel forgot to finish in the earlier hurry.

"What do you mean? You are feeling sick? Did you hurt somewhere or is it just that you woke up at the wrong side of the bed?"

"Taking things the way your silly brain would." She strangled him as her legs snaked around his waist, his hands involuntarily groping her slender figure to stay in position.

"Are you in a mood?" He asked as his eyebrows raised in the enthusiasm.

"Don't be a pervert now. I am here to talk about-"

Their conversation broke when a heavy thunder hit the mansion, almost exploding their ear drums. Kristen hurriedly buried her face in his chest while shaking and trembling. A heavy thunder out of all the time and that too in heaven? Gabriel secured her safely but even he was startled, totally taken back. The fierce thunder was now followed by a few more and every time, it hit the mansion, she was pushing him back to the bed to feel more safe.
