Mister Chu

"Ah, Miss Yin Xia and Miss Yin Zhu. It is such a pleasant morning, don't you think so? It's not as gloomy as it was yesterday." greeted the man as he smiled at the two of them while displaying his perfect white teeth. " You look wonderful, Miss Yin Xia and as for you Miss Zhu, you look gorgeous as always, if I may you might be looking a tad bit more radiant than always."

" I saw your face early in the morning just how pleasant it could be?" murmured Yin Zhu under her breath such that only Yin Xia was able to hear with a roll of her eyes.

" Good morning, Mister Chu," Yin Xia smiled back at him politely as she nudged Yin Zhu in her ribs when she noticed that her sister was rolling her eyes at Mister Chu. " It is a pleasant morning, maybe we might be able to finally have a day without rain."

Mister Chu didn't say anything to Yin Xia, his entire attention was on Yin Zhu who realised that if she did return the greeting she would not be able to leave without offending Mister Chu, so she looked at him with one of her most exaggerated smiles and said, " What a lovely morning indeed, Mister Chu. I hope you are having a wonderful day?"

Mister Chu was the owner of the small clothing mill that supplied the fabrics to every other clothing shop and boutique, he was arrogant and pompous with a rather large pint of narcissism added to his system. Like every other beta in the town, Yin Zhu has tickled his fancy with her beautiful face and petite figure. Ever since his eyes fell on Yin Zhu, he has been trying to woo her by sending gifts, cards and roses to her house, which were of course returned by father Yin.

Maybe he realised that gifts wouldn't work as long as father Yin was living with Yin Zhu, so instead of sending gifts, he started to carefully monitor Yin Zhu, every time she left her house as long as he wasn't busy, Mister Chu made a habit of stumbling upon her 'coincidently'.

His approach has been subtle yet he has made no effort to keep his admiration and greed that he had for Yin Zhu a secret, but even after making sure that the entire population of the slums knew about his fascination with Yin Zhu, Mister Chu wasn't able to leave his mark on Yin Zhu.

If not for the fact that the Yin family has been serving the Situ family for years and may or may not have some connections with them, he would have long marked this woman as his. Beta or omega, he didn't care about anything in front of Yin Zhu's beauty.

" You two, are you going to the town? I am going to the town as well if you want then I can give you a lift, it would be really rude of me if I was to ignore you two stranded here."

The carriage was just a few paces away from them and yet Mister Chu was calling them stranded, Yin Zhu who had a very good idea of what he has been trying for the past few months immediately opened her mouth to reply worried that her polite sister would agree with his suggestion, the last thing she wanted was to stay in the same space as mister Chu for the next forty minutes. " Its all right Mister Chu, we are not going to the town, we are going a bit farther than that, we wouldn't want to bother you when the public carriage is waiting for us right there," she pointed to the carriage where the carriage driver was calling for people to come and take his carriage to the Town Hall.

Mister Chu's eyes widened as he looked at Yin Zhu and then smiled at her, he was surprised by the fact that she was willing to even talk to him when she hasn't done that for months. Maybe his continuous efforts have melted a bit of ice around Yin Zhu's heart and of course what kind of woman would be able to withstand his charm?

He swept his black hair aside and then flashed another toothy smile at Yin Zhu and said, " There is no such thing as bothersome when it comes to you, Miss Yin. I have my carriage with me and I am going to the town anyway, even if you are going farther, I am sure that my carriage will be able to drop you there. After all, wouldn't you like having a comfortable journey instead of being sandwiched between the people in the local carriage? My carriage was getting a bit old mind you, that was why I ordered a new one just a few months back, you are in luck as well because that special carriage was delivered just today, I hired three mages and made it as comfortable as possible from a no motion sickness spell to seating as fluffy as clouds were added to the carriage on my humble request. I mean as much as you are used to the harsh life that you are leading, I tend to think a beautiful woman such as yourself deserves to be cradled in the palms of a man——"

" Congratulations on your new carriage and thank you for the offer Mister Chu," Yin Zhu could withstand anything but she could never let go when others talked bad about her family as if she was a pitiful princess who was born into the wrong family, what was wrong with not having the comfort? At least her family was simple and loving, something she couldn't say for Mister Chu who married twice and then divorced his two wives one after another because of the differences between the two.

At least that was what he said but Yin Zhu knew that it was because the man got tired once he marked those women, he was chasing. It was just a thrilling game to him nothing more, she hated men like him, who sought women just for fun and thrill believing that as long as they could conquer a woman they will become a worthy men.

"But I think I am not fortunate enough to ride your carriage today for I am going to the Situ mansion."
